Hmm yes, they do remind me of some Phazon creations from years ago. Still, they're quite pretty... I hope they make nice squishing sounds as I kill them.

Remember too, the old Dark Astoria won't disappear entirely - they've already stated it'll be available in a Flashback in Oroboros.

Teleporters: About frakking time. Heroside bases will benefit greatly from this. I'm not sure if I'll rework my Villain Base though, since I could fit all of the teleporters in a single room anyway.

One thought that went through my mind - could this be an indication of dual-alignment teleporters in bases... My Rogue would LOVE to be able to teleport (for instance) to Atlas directly from her VG.

I also wouldn't mind seeing some mechanism to become available to bases so we could access flashback zones (Galaxy City, Dark Astoria).

Wow, a lot of really really cool stuff there. I mean a lot. I've been recently kind of distracted by...other "galactic" stuff, but this is...wow. Going to...re-distract me? I dunno, something like that. Can we has Beta now?

I do hope that Heroes and Villains both get some distinct flair in the new zones, and that the repeatables are more story-focused, ala Tips, than another clone of Borea. A co-op story arc, plus one for each side, would be best.

Also, wonder what's up with Bondage McTenFootHair there. We've got one scene of people fighting her, and another of her chilling with the Phalanx and the rest.

Well then why don't we just send in the Praetorian Hamidon after Mot? That would be epic.

But seriously, with all of these simultaneous alien, supernatural and extradimensional threats happening all the time, it's a wonder that the United States of the game's Primal Earth hasn't turned into a ruthless empire by now, that meets even potential threats with extremely powerful force.

I'm sure there has to be a few congress people and generals talking about how they have to get their hands on as much alien technology in order to reverse engineer it and... wait, this is starting to sound too much like Stargate SG-1.

Why didn't we kill at least those gods a long time ago? Even the other gods didn't like them. That makes me think the Rikti killing their gods was a retcon.

I know they wont do it, especially for just a year, but it would be amusing if some of the random street civillian dialogue tied all this into the 2012 thing.

You can. The Galaxy City beacon goes to the echo of Galaxy now and they have no reason not to make Dark Astoria work the same way.

Seems like these gods persist as long as there's some underground cult around that still worships them. Now see, if we'd built a hive-mind to link us all to the same mental network, we wouldn't have these little cults running around loose and ruining things for everyone else!

Actually, now that I think about it, the BP feed on fear, so you probably couldn't wipe them out entirely. Unless we built a hive-mind to convince everyone not to be afraid, everything will be ok, we are your friends, we come in peace. But then you'd have some stubborn grizzled anti-hero types managing to resist through sheer force of will, and they'd turn out to be arachnophobic or something, and we're right back where we started.
