And if you think you have it bad, my brother just had triplets...
P&G's stock just went through the roof with him.

If this is your first (or your first preemie), tell her not to freak when the baby has sleep apnea episodes. She'll freak anyhoo, but apnea is normal for preemies. All the little bits and pieces in them aren't QUITE fully "cooked" yet. Including their respiratory system and responses.

Also, if this is your first, when changing the baby's diaper keep a hand over their "naughty bits". This helps prevent those unexpected "face shot" golden showers that babies (especially boy babies) are infamous for.

Yeah, you get your hand peed on, but it's better than a shot in the eye. My sister in law found this out the hard way. Even after being warned.

Also, the doctors are probably telling you this already. But don't expect MiniTurg to be home before his original due date. Some parents build their hopes up and get hurt when baby isn't home (and keeping them up nights) a week or two after being delivered. The original due date is usually a good cutoff to shoot for. Sometimes they come home a little early, but not a lot. The hospitals are a LOT more careful about it now than they used to be.

Oh yes, and treasure this time when you can actually sleep through the night. It's MiniTurg's last gift to you before exploding into your carefully ordered life like Tsar Bomba on a BAD day.

And get pictures. LOTS of pictures.

True, but the pix I've taken thus far are all rather heartbreaking. He's all wrapped and tubed up in the incubator. I'm holding onto these pictures of course, but I won't be sharing out 'til all the tubepunk hardware is gone and you can actually see him.

...I will say, though, he's got a knitted sock hat that comes down over his eyes for the light bath therapy. Looks quite the gangstah chic.

I have pictures like that; and yes, they're heartbreaking. It's understandable if you don't want to share pictures yet. But personally all pictures from tube-bundled baby to birthday-suit bath are equally precious.

Prayers that baby continues to grow strong, Mom remains healthy, and you (Dad!) continue to burst with pride.

Congratulations! Along with the diapers, its worthwhile to invest in some peepee teepees. If you don't know what they are look it up, they are valuable when changing baby boys.

Congratulations, and hopes for a shortened hospital stay.

Enjoy all the moments. They go so quickly. My youngest was born just a couple weeks after I started playing the game and now, 6 years later, he has his own account.

Congratulations on the newest member of the family, Turg! I sincerely hope all continues to go well for you! And what timing, too: perhaps one of the best holiday gifts you and yer family could get, I'd think. Maybe since now you can get baby items for gifts, too? <grin>
