I see no problem with this. It will be nice if there are in-game ways to earn some alternative weapons but this is the only way to justify the resources imo. The other weapon sets only started out with a small number of options.

Strangely, I have no problem with this. Then we can just lock it off like we did to the Rikti. Problem solved!

Thank you for the highlights and screenshots, VK!

Thanks for doing this VK. I went to watch the recordings and the first panel gets to 27:24 in where Z decides to move the camera back, he utters the fateful words "lemme turn this..." and the video ends

The next video is completely different people eating lunch (the endgame/incarnate panel)

EDIT:

Bah, the incarnate panel is also truncated at 26:55

Z, Have you accidentally installed some trial version of Ustream or something or is your machine cutting us off? It's a shame, it looked like there would have been some interesting information in these videos.

I'd LOVE the devs to put an AT-based cap on the amount of +def one can receive from set bonuses. LOVE it.

Something like 10% for squishies, 13% for stalkers and scrappers, 15% for brutes, 20% for tankers.

Right now, large-scale +def buffing (FF, specifically) has become devalued compared to simply stacking a whole bunch of relatively small bonuses.

Having taken it all in now the only thing I don't really like is the bit saying "We Love the Team Up Teleport"

Personally I hate it. Yes it will be better once we can enter missions without having to leave the queue. But I still dislike the way it divorces missions from the game world. That plus its well talked about other problems, makes me wish they'd use it less rather than more.

If they did that, I'd hope they'd get a few more options into melee defense sets before doing so.

For some of us, those set bonuses are the only way to flesh out concepts.

What an agile/regenerating scrapper...you can go WP and pretend the typed defense is agility based, go regen and go for as much positionals as possible...ect...ect.

But it would be nice to see some more ways to get +Resist going on in set bonuses.

I think that they're up to something - but they're being super secret about it - as usual

There were some serious stream issues throughout the broadcasts yesterday, I think it's more an issue on Ustream's end than on Zwill & the Gang.

Well then, I'll continue to hope. CoH's art style is one of the things that keeps me here. While I want to see upgrades that may not be possible on the current rig, I do love their art style of the characters. It feels more comic book and less silly cartoony that the competition feels like.

I am LOVING that elemental order costume set! When I heard elemental order and saw the belt, I thought it might be a martial arts/shaolin monk type of thing. But that is hella cool, and it seems to be the same look for both genders, which is good. Finally females get a cool long jacket! And I am not as sure how much of the fire/ice set I'll use but it sure looks interesting, something I would not mind having to play with.

Digging Dark Astoria and the Fire+Ice sets. Except for those awkward crystals jutting out from the costume parts. The costume designers really didn't stay faithful to how the concept art managed to make them look like they were actually part of the body.

This is from the gigantic UStream marathon from the launch of i21. Tunnel Rat is laughing & clapping at our puns. I even got a mention for one of mine about taking them for granite. Get it? HA! Sadly, I couldn't get the frames to quite right on this. I'm sure someone else could do better - if you want, I'll make one a little longer so you can crop to your liking.

I can just see this one being used a lot.

Indeed. I really like the concept art. However, it does have a big "WIP" over it which means it's a work in progress.

Now I've seen the screenshots, I'm loving the look of the new Dark Astoria.

However, I won't be in any hurry to get the Fire & Ice costumes. I'm quite frankly repulsed by them.

Ok, I'm tempering some of my earlier enthusiasm regarding the Elemental Order costume pack. I just went back and looked at those screenshots, and don't see any ladies. PLEASE tell me that these awesome costume parts are for the ladies too, and we don't just get more corsets!

Given that they're WIPs, I withhold final judgement, but the "Fire" armor doesn't make me think of fire in any way, shape or form.

It just looks crystalline. Without the crystal pieces it looks more like Magma. Doesn't say Fire to me though.

Agreed. And yeah, as a WIP, they could turn out looking better. They just look completely different to the amazing concept art.

It appears that by WIP they mean, at the very least, they haven't added the VFX/Auras, like the flames on the head or wings, to the costumes.

A lot of interesting stuff in here - Thanks VK for sharing it.

Still, I can't help but wonder how many Paragon Points the cute little puppy cost...

It is really good. Looking forward to it when I get my new desktop (gaming on my notebook kinda sucks.)

Just realized that 60% of the 'purchasable' power sets are weapon-set related. At this rate, I probably won't have to buy another power-set for months (as I *hate* weapon-draw.)

Still here, even after all this time!
