Is your business hiring? Do they need a tech guy?

(EDIT: That wasn't a jab. I'm really unemployed, and miss being able to spend money on video games like that.)

Heh, heh, heh, not where I work, no. I just got divorced a couple of summers ago and have no kids (that I can claim...), so I have a decent amount of disposable income when I wish to.

So when exactly does this go live? It's 9:25pm PST (which is Friday on the East Coast) but the prices aren't updated.

Probably shortly after midnight PST. The sales on the Paragon Market have always run Pacific Time so far, I see no reason for this one to be any different.

That's kind of what I figured but didn't want to think was true :/ Thanks for the info.

They aren't even awarded as PVP (competitive) drops to begin with.

The comparison is indeed laughable.

On the other hand, I'm sure there are professional football teams with more money for training equipment than others... meaning those teams have access to better enhancements due to buying them with real money. And in the end, the vast majority of those who watch could care less if the team that won the Super Bowl did so because they were able to purchase superior equipment or they just practiced more than the team they beat using the equipment they had.
Just so you understand Major league baseball implements revenue sharing amongst teams to prevent the situation from getting out of hand. Professional football implements a salary cap and revenue sharing. Both sports do this to preserve the integrity of the game. They realize that if they allowed the richest teams to buy a pennant, or the championship it would spell the death of their sport.

Edit My own sport golf uses a more extreme method. There is a very strict limit on the performance of the equipment and non sanctioned equipment is just not allowed. Other gear heavy sports do the same

The sale prices went into effect shortly after 12:01 AM PM Pacific. If you don't see the prices, you may need to close the Paragon Market window, and relaunch the shopping cart to refresh.

To access the Black Friday Sales, click on Paragon Picks > Black Friday through the left-side Nav.

So is Numina's Convalescence included or not? Seems people quoted the original but it has been altered and isn't listed under Black Friday.

Zwill mentioned in a recent post
that they'd found a bug in the Numina's set, so it's been pulled from the market for now.

I know we can't trade or sell the store bought enhancements, but can they be mixed with the in game ones for set bonuses?

Great price and possibly very sneaky too! It means I won't have enought points to buy TW if they are released on the 6th and so will have to wait or shell out.

SHOULD give you 2 months. If you're unsure, contact support and have them check on it. At worst, they can refund the points.

Clicking on the linked image above will take you off the City of Heroes site. However, the guides will be linked back here.

Change Numinas for Eradication for now; then Numi sale for winter events - that would be a nice convalescence.

Just to confirm, these IOs are sticking around after this sale, just at the regular (higher) price, right?

I doubt it. The last round of Rare IO sets they put on the market were only up for a week.

I wouldn't count on anything in the sale being permanent. This is experimental, so they may decide something isn't worthwhile, or to change things up before the next time something resurfaces (or is price slashed) again.

They put other sets up? What sets? When? I was working out of town and haven't been about much for the last month or so

I went ahead and bought a few. I got my monthly stipend and I still have a big enough stack of points. And the number's been wonky since I got that dog pet. So I bought 5 LotG recharges. However, I only bought those for the advantage they offer: they'll be level 50 strength but still scale down to level 25. That's not something I can currently buy in the game. I only bought them for one character, and I have no intention of buying anything else that I can just get in the game.
