Apparently Dark Control is "tentacle free"

They didn't want too much crossover* between Dark Control and Tentacle Control.

*I typed this as "grossover" at first. Not sure it was wrong.

So... did nobody liveblog or tweet from the powers panel? The ONLY info I've spotted so far is "no tentacles." Was there nothing interesting to say beyond that?

No. Dominators were told they weren't getting anything proliferated and no new sets last time because "something special" was planned. The impression was made that whatever it was was very time-consuming and difficult

Is Darkness Control 'special' or time-consuming? Sounds like it's going to be the cobbled together set that people have been asking for for years. Maybe I'm wrong, but we'll see.

Aside from that, I want to know when it's being released. If doms are back-burnered so melee ATs get yet another set first (Staff) and then DC turns out to be nothing more than a cobbled set, I'll be emoting the proverbial Slap in the Face. And after that I'll email you all my stuff and /ragequit.

Please buff Ice Control.

I'm not sure that Darkness Control is going to be 'it', so to speak, in terms of new Control sets available post-I22. Remember, we do have Sorceress Serene's power sets to think about...

I would trade a Stalker Tweak for fixing MM pet AI so they're playable again.

In the art/animation panel, the fire/ice armor is really cool, and the ornamental soldier crystal costume set (with backpack item) is awesome.

Titan weapons look pretty cool (but still may not be big enough for some people), staff fighting animations are really good, and darkness control is designed to be more corrupty oily set rather than the "Cthulhu" version in game now.
