Lowwe r the price on the dog

so that dog pet is friggin' cute (and would work with a few of my characters nicely) but 500 pts for a single non-combat pet? That is really steep I mean costume sets are 400pts ($5.00) so that means a single non combat pet (as cute as he is) is about $6.00. That seems a bit off kilter to me. i get that alot of work may have gone in to him, but that is just too much for a single pet. I mean maybe if it came with the german shepard head that could be used as costume piece, a bark emote for toon and pet commands to make him do tricks then it might be worth it but yea ...not just the pet alone.

P.S. before any one rags on my spelling yes i totally realized after I hit post that I spelled lower wrong and typoed. I blame being awake for 30 some hrs

The great part about a market is that we can show them that a price is too high by not buying something if it's too high. If nobody buys it at 500 points (and they really shouldn't, IMO), then maybe they'll lower it.

The dog costs 500 points. Subscribers get a monthly allotment of 400-550 points for free. Therefore the dog at most costs subscribers 100 points for those not willing to save up their free points.

Who cares what it costs Free or Premium players. They can afford the 500 points from the $15 bucks they are saving by not having a subscription.

The only way the dog could get less expensive for subscribers than free is if they paid us to claim it.

This assumes that the dog was the only thing released this month, which isn't true. To make this case, you'd have to compare the dog versus anything else you could use the points on, and find that the dog is the best value. I don't think that'll happen.

Sounds like something people do every single day when they go out shopping. Do I buy the new doodad as soon as it shows up on the shelves or do I wait and get it when it goes on sale. Do I spend a little extra to get it immediately so I can show off to the Joneses or do I get that other thing I want and get this thing later. Do I show a little maturity and budget my expenses or do I throw a tantrum like a spoiled 5 year old screaming "BUT I WANT IT NAO!" The choice is up to the individual.

At 500 points the dog is rabid and needs to be put down.

Just gonna mention this little tid bit: Yes, a VIP could use their free points on the doggie. If the VIP actually got them in a reasonable manner. But considering how screwy the allotments have been, a VIP may not have the freebie points right now.

And to be honest, I agree that the cost (and subsequent exclusivity use) is to frakking high. I'll wait for the Gunslinger set to come out first before I get this Pet.

Thank you for the time...

not to sure what you mean to say, is it 500 pts is crazy and needs to be removed? Or, for 500 pts the dog should come with cool emote like rabid and needs to be put down. LOL

other emotes:
fetch
rollover
sit
beg
guarddog
stalk/hunt

Yeah. Saw the price on the dog... no. Not wasting points, or money once I go premium, on that.

As far as "Who cares what it costs free or premium?" Nice attitude. If it costs too much, they won't buy it. They don't buy it, paragon doesn't make money. Simple enough?

Wanted: Origin centric story arcs.
If you've only played an AT once (one set combo) and "hate" it - don't give up. Roll a different combo. It may just be those sets not clicking for you.

That the pricing "plan" needs to be severely reduced.

Points aint free for VIPs, they are part of what our $15 gets.

I dont think its that over priced. More than I want to spend, but it is an item to each character past and future.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

Glad you like it. I'm not going to shed any tears over someone that thinks $6. bucks is too expensive to spend on this game. That $6 bucks is also going to get the Free players access to additional chat channels, the ability to join SG's, and access to in game emails. That's a lot for a measly 500 points.

Wanna know the great thing? There's a ridiculous number of people complaining the price is too high.

What the devs read is, "They want this bad" -- it's validation for them and creates opportunity to tinker with the pricing, but they're definitely going to score sales from people at each price tier they eventually go through.

The free market is a wonderful thing.

Rubbish - it is well worth the 500 points I spent on it, and then - I consider the Halloween costume pack unworthy of 400 points so did not buy that but, this dog is ace and I bought it immediately.

How about they have the dog attack the legs of the baddies like they do the postal workers. The attacks gives the baddies a 5% hit debuff. Woof !! Woof !!

I understand the fact it's an entire new rig and all that, but I STILL do not see development requiring that steep a price tag for a non-combat pet.

Anyone have the tag for the Mini VG HVAS passive pet? I'm pretty sure that wasn't much over 100 or so. But 500 is just too much just on principal.

If you dont want it or dont want to spend that amount of money... guess what.. You dont have to buy it.. period...

I dont understand why people spend 50,000 on a car..
I dont understand why people spend 2,000 on a TV.
I dont understand why people spend 150 a month to talk on a cell phone.
I dont understand why people spend 500-800 bucks on an ipad.

So I dont own any of those things. I dont run around questioning why those things or made or why they are the price they are. I simply exercise My choice NOT to buy them.

However some people dont understand why I spend over 3,000 on a bicycle.

its called choice... Neo...

The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.

With that screwy logic everything could cost 1000 points and still be "free".

OP: Nice as the new pet looks I don't think its worth 500 points. So I will only buy it if there is a sale or they lower the price. Which given the recently implemented limit of one vanity pet active per player, that may be the Devs intention with this pricing point.

Nope. The company is paying me to play. The subs run as follows

1 month: $14.99*
3 months: $41.85* (equivalent to $13.95 per month)
6 months: $77.70* (equivalent to $12.95 per month)
12 months: $143.40* (equivalent to $11.95 per month)

Now each month with my sub I get a server transfer that normally costs me $9.99
550 points to use in the store that normally costs me $6.87
and a Reward Token that sells for $15.00 in the new Paragon Market (and deny it all you want but Reward Tokens now have a monetary value since we get them for every $15 bucks we spend in the store.)

That's $31.86 I'm not spending each month on the game. When I compare the value of my perks to my subscription I get the following.

If my sub is Monthly NCSoft is paying me $16.87 a month to keep my account active.
If my sub is Quarterly they pay me $17.91 a month to keep my account active.
If my sub is biannual they pay me $18.91 a month to keep my account active.
And if my sub is Annual they pay me $19.91 a month to keep my account active.

Nothing screwy about having patience and getting the perks for free. If you feel that you want everything as soon as it's released then the consequence is that you have to pay cash for it.

Me, I'm in the middle of the road. Some things I'll get right away because I can afford it, and others I can wait for because it's a game, and there's nothing I absolutely have to have to play. Heck I can even let my sub lapse for a couple of months if I really wanted to buy some things in the store because I'd still get to play.
