Too busy. It completely loses the sleekness the Batman Beyond suit had going for it.

IIRC, that's pretty much what the suit looked like underneath the outer skin whenever it got ripped in the show.

yeah... that may be good for an under layer, but it's been shown that there is an over layers that is more or less black fabric without any circuitry on it.

I like it. I imagine if this was the "movie version" it would go into the traditional black-and-red when active, kinda like a stealth-mode.

The last post in that thread was, what, a year ago? Is there anything newer?

I think it works if the bat-insignia stays red all the time, but the other details only flashed or whatever when he "powers up" one of his gadgets. Like the batarang launcher, wings, jets, etc. If everything but the symbol was normally black it would be sweeeeeeeeeet!

Agreed. The whole idea of Bruce's last suit is the simplicity. The only things discernible are the eyes, symbol and the belt (if it could be called that anymore.)

Ah, the Batman Beyond suit rebooted by Jim Lee? :P

The suit has those lines in it visible only in certain situations, most notably when the suit 'locks-in' to the Batmobile. Also very briefly when activating stealth mode. All other times the lines appear black giving the suit a cleaner look.

The lines are continuously lit underneath the overlay armor however, as evidenced by it showing through when he takes damage as well as when the suit is being controlled by the ghost in the machine.

Not bad, but agree with the other comments (are we nerds or what ). However, I liked this news even more.

Would be nice to have Batman Beyond love movie or if Bruce Timm can make some animated Batman Beyond movies for DVD.....Terry did mention in the season 3 episode and again in Return of the Joker the "apocalypse of 2009", but we've never found out what that particular event was so that could make for an interesting story.

Also besides never seeing a Joker costume in a trophy case in the batcave, I never saw a Two Face costume either. The giant penny yes, but never a costume in a display case. Did Harvey end up staying in Arkham all his remaining days after the "Judge" personality manifested or did something else happen?

I would've liked that news if it were about the animated series continuing, or an animated movie release.

There was a 6 issue miniseries and then an ongoing series that ran just barely longer, cut short by Flashpoint. At some point in the future Batman Beyond is supposed to return.

I believe it was in Return of the Joker that Bruce beheaded a Two-Face dummy, so he had the costume.

If they ever did a Batman Beyond movie, there's only one way I'd want to see it realized: taking place in current day, with Adam West resuming the role that made him famous -- the Bruce Wayne from the 1966 series. After all, it's 45 years old now. But don't get me wrong, the show isn't campy. The campy history remains, but the later decades took their toll on Bruce, and he's just as grizzled as he was in the cartoon (I firmly believe Adam West could pull it off). I imagine his disillusionment beginning sometime during the 70s. Cesar Romero's Joker finally graduates from silly deathtraps and hatches his master plan of kidnapping Robin and brainwashing him as his heir. As a bonus, we get to see what Harley Quinn might have looked like had she existed during the 60s series.

I will die unhappy if this movie is never made.

I always figured Beyond was the natural next move for Hollywood once Nolan finishes his take. Not wanting to 're-invent' Nolan's batman just yet, so in steps Terry 20 years or so down the line.

Hm, there is a certain appropriate level of irony in Adam West playing old Bruce in a Batman Beyond movie....., that would be interesting but seeing all the nods and easter egg tributes to his old series might wear thin pretty quick.

Wouldn't need to be any more than they did in the animated series with respect to Batman: TAS.

Yeah that episode with the Grey Ghost was awesome. Nice tribute to Adam West's series, the Shadow, and pulp fiction in general.

I meant Batman Beyond and Batman: TAS. Apart from Mr. Freeze, the episode with Bane's Venom, the episode with Talia, Return of the Joker, and idle glances at Bruce's supervillain memorabilia collection, there weren't a lot of references back to his time as Batman, which the producers did intentionally.
