Pieces of Win
Bam! You're purple now.
Glad you found those!. When the Head Start began, I immediately purchased the Rocket Board, Beam Rifle, and those two things. I don't use the capes as much as I thought I would, but I have DEFINITELY made tons of use out of the auras since.
@Winter. Because I'm Winter. Period.
I am a blaster first, and an alt-oholic second.
It is a very Good Thing.
Those two little perks were the first things I bought from the market, even before I got my chibi Bane his rocketboard.

I approve of this post
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Me too! I did a happy dance when I realized I would never have to do stupid cape/aura time sink missions again. That was truly a pay-to-win moment.
On the one hand, I sort of prefer to keep doing the cape-unlocking arc (and the aura one for villains; the hero hunts are admittedly lame), and don't really like the idea of paying for something I can easily earn in game anyway, so I haven't paid for these.
On the other hand, my planned Titan Weapons/Regeneration character looks pretty freaking bad without his cape.
Decisions, decisions...
I do agree. Time saving items such as this have made my costume creation and playtime a bit more enjoyable .
Glad to see you're enjoying it as well.
As long as we're talking about it, are there any other time vs. convenience options like the cape and aura unlock service you could see being a desirable Market offering?

All unlockable costume parts, really. The Family Tommy gun, the Rularuu weapons, the Nemesis rifle, all of it, please.
Please try my custom mission arcs!

In premise, I don't mind the Cape missions too much. The Aura mish hero side though is a PITA (Don't have a Vill high enough to do theirs...). But the fact that the Cape & Aura Unlocks are that bloody cheap and global make them, IMHO, the best Values on the Paragon Market.
When the head start began, they were apart of my first purchases.
Thank you for the time...

This is almost a no-lose situation for everyone - players can choose to either pay to unlock anything on an item-by-item basis, or wait and unlock it in-game - and NCSoft will either make a little bit more money, or quite a bit more money.

- Invention Recipe Wings/Boots
- Roman Armour
- Astral/Empyrean Merit CCE's, Auras, Path Auras, Emotes, Chest Emblems.
Wings and Boots from the Invention System because I like making characters as complete in costume thematic as possible from the start, and I tend to overlook those pieces as I can't see how they work with the rest of the set.
Roman Armour because we've got lots of tech pieces but very few magic/old-style armour pieces.
Also, not quite the same as what you asked, but:
I would love to have the booster/VIP/Ascension weapon sets updated to all available power sets.
What I mean is:
Vanguard Dual Pistols
Some kind of Vanguard Mace
Vanguard Titan Weapon
Celestial Claws
Celestial Bow
Celestial Katana
Celestial Shield
Organic Titan Weapon
Organic Katana
Organic Axe
Organic Claws
Roman Titan Weapon
So on and so forth.
I hated playing other MMO's and having to wait ages to get things like eyepatches for my characters because they were tied to being gear, or certain emotes/mini pets and so on.
Almost every single in-game unlock, including the Incanrate cosmetic items and weapon customization unlocks - but keep things like Ascension Armor as Empyrean unlocked only, along with anything else that's actually Incarnate-themed.
This is almost a no-lose situation for everyone - players can choose to either pay to unlock anything on an item-by-item basis, or wait and unlock it in-game - and NCSoft will either make a little bit more money, or quite a bit more money. |
Though, to deviate from my usual optimism, I do not think we'll get it. Considering that the Devs are doing all they can to encourage the play of Incarnate Trials, I do not see them removing an exclusive incentive.

I mean, they're crazy easy to get, but I'd rather pay 40 points (you really can't sell something this easy to get in-game for 80 points) to have Rocket Boots or Insect Wings in the Character Creator when I'm making a brand new character than have to collect the parts, mail them to myself, and add them after character creation.

I'd like to see all the stupid access stuff (vanguard intro for merit drops, cimerora, ouroboros so we have it automatically, tailor missions) go into a little bundle like that as well, to get rid of it.

Believe it's been mentioned, but I'd say any non-holiday costume unlocks.

It's a huge pain in the *** to have an idea for a character that would benefit from one of these and then think, "Oh, well, maybe in eight months."

Sorry,
Sincerely,
I was totally oblivious to the fact that I could purchase a permanent Aura/Cape unlock for all toons including future toons.
