No you are not alone. I would much rather have the Carnie mask then this.

I'd much rather have Carnival of Darkness COSTUME PIECES around Mardi Gras.

Right, that makes sense to me, because that's not an example of going to the con for the codes.

I hope all the copy and paste text errors get sorted out for transformation powers. Be nice if the stealth powers worked with them too.

I think its a good call on the name change.

I still think its fairly insulting (to the art ***** team) that the dollar value of the transformation power is higher than the barbarian costume pieces.

I still think its the result of seeing how high the prices on eBay went for some of the codes that have given Paragon very rose coloured glasses to the value of the transofrmation powers.

edit: hrrrm it wasnt a rude word that got filtered.

Amend it to "art resource" team

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

I'm not really sure what you're taking issue with. These are my thoughts on the matter. If you don't agree, that's your prerogative.

Noted. Transformation Powers are now 480 points.

Regarding the Ring Mistriss, that character might make an appearance around Carnival / Mardi Gras time....maybe. (In all seriousness, we didn't want to flood the market with a lot of the Transformation powers).
Yea I mean, I'm definitely in the minority with those who thought the initial prices for the costume codes were okay.

I went to the M&G in NYC last year, and even as a NYer between train fare, subway fare and the time involved, I'd have much rather paid $20 in the store.

Not that I didn't enjoy meeting folks from NCSoft but I had no interest in anything other than CoH and that was a small part of the M&G.

My perspective on the whole store thing, the store should be for extras that are either conveineces (unslotters, respecs, etc), bonus packs ala Boosters and cosmetic stuff - like the costume codes. I have no issue laying down a few bucks on that type of stuff, but gameplay related items like Power Sets really upset me. IMO those should be included with subscription fees or offered at prices relative to the expansions we've gotten.

Either way, as I said, thank you for offering these again. I was disappointed when the other codes were pulled and missed out on a couple that I was saving for.

The other Transformation powers (that were not convention exclusive) will come back after the Halloween Event has ended, and will have their prices reduced. The exact time is still TBD.

I just want to comment on the whole transformation/costume power vs actual costume pieces thing....

I do not think players are hell bent on having the entirety of the PPD hardsuit available as individual pieces....at least, not as 100% identical copies.

i think what players really like and want on that particular model is just a few items. one being chain guns hardpoint mounted on forearms. I think players would also like guns hardpoint mounted on shoulders, as a related piece.
On a related note to the forearm guns, is there a way to make alternative animations that would utilize a gun arm? it would need a "stand and point" animation. This would blow the doors off on players robot/cyborg/soldier theme characters. it wouldnt need to be universal, but could be done by set. ice blast and energy blast come to mind. Elec would also look cool with a stand and point forearm cannon animation.
Also, as mentioned above by one poster, the boots. And likely that means pretty much those particular boots, but i also think a lot of players want the rocket boot idea expanded. I know i suggested once upon a time in the 8 million page costume thread about using existing models and making "rocket" alternatives, like the enforcer boots. there's even little round circles on the bottom, or, have rocket flames come out from under those plates that stick off the boots from around the top area. Also, the newer imperial defense boots look like they should have rockets built onto them. These PPD boots could be the same, a non rocket and rocket version.

In short, moar rocket buutz plz. You could sell the new rocket boots in a "rocket boots collection" in the store. Same with arm cannons, bundle the costume pieces with the animations. These would be a little more time intensive to develop, but the price could be commensorate. i would pay 15 bucks a piece easy for these.

I'm pretty supportive of the Paragon team and the market, but am I the only one here thinking...."they ran out of new stuff to sell already?"

Kewl! Hopefully, they'll drop to a reasonable amount. That, I know, will be subjective but for me it's about 200-250 points.

Not at all.

It boils down to getting a regular flow of items and having a balance of the types of releases.

In the past month and a half, we've released costume sets, power sets, a travel power, micro-content releases (the Signature Stories), and more.

The item(s) per week had different price points and targeted different types of play styles. Since we released the Halloween Event and the Halloween Costume Bundle, it made sense to release the convention powers now while all players could have fun with trick-or-treating.

With next week's release, we're aiming to have a little bit more fun with some stuff that compliments our current in-game event.

Noted. We'll only offer unique stuff now that can't be replicated by our so-very-robust-costume-creator. (And for the players that bought the Pirate Power, you'll be the only ones who may have that power. Ever. How's that for exclusive/limited?)
Wait ... do you mean we'll be able to make those costumes for our characters if we own the Transformation Powers ?

No. I mean that we won't sell Transformation powers that can be easily replicated by the Costume Creator.

The Transformation Powers do not grant access to the Costume Pieces.

Ok ... conversely, does that mean we'll never ever ever get costume pieces of costumes that are sold as Transformation powers ? Because I would rather you not sell the powers then if it meant we could get the costume pieces ...

(I know there's no way of knowing we'll ever get certain costume pieces, but the question has to be asked)

Hmm i have been able to use the Halloween costumes on my stalker as well as the Rikti costume that is now on the market while in hide. Not sure about the others but they are working with hide for me.

This is because Hide allows the use of one other stealth power (such as stealth or invisibility) - Costume powers are mutually exclusive with all other stealth powers (except super speed and Phase Shift, and any AoE stealth powers cast on you)

These formerly convention-exclusive powers allow you to change your appearance into an NPC. ONLY Available in the Paragon Market until Dec. 6.
Question: On beta right now weapons doesn't show up when a costume power is activated (have tested Titan Weapons, Beam Rifle and Claws with the Lost, Malta and Skyraiders costumes)
Is this working as intended? Back during the Freedom beta the weapons was visible as usual with the transformation costumes. Having them invisible would make transformation costumes pretty useless for all weapon-wielding powersets.

(As a possible concept I made a Beam/Time corruptor on test that I planned would use the Lost rifleman costume, wield a Rikti beam rifle, and be named 'Lost Time' (I don't think I got the name btw, and the rikti beam rifle was a future project), so I'm very sure the weapons did show up then)

EDIT: 31 Oct, This appears to be fixed in the last beta build: Weapons are again visible with costume powers.

Give them time, my son. For they will come, cheeks red end eyes tearing, to regale us with their tales of facial pain.

480 points so I can cross-dress as a Carnie and detoggle my cloacking, why not.

Lol, pass.

Edit:
What? People actually sold those codes on Ebay for big bucks...and people bought them? Wow, dude.

So, for us big convention-goers and collectors who already have and spent (years) collecting the 'exclusive' costume codes, this blows big time to see them sell for pocket change.

When can we expect the Halloween codes to be released back onto the market? I already have every costume code via trade/convention, and it's sad seeing that these are on the market but Halloween costumes not. Considering now all the users who spent the time to buy a few of these when they first came out have them mutually exclusive.

EDIT: Oh.. And being someone that has purchased costume codes in the past for 2.5-3,000,000,000 influence, I find $6 to be a freaking steal.

Now, just please put the Halloween ones back so us people that earned our convention costume codes have something to buy.

Speak for yourself. As a guy who's been to several conventions and M&Gs, I can say that they're not for everyone, nor does everyone have the time or money to hit conventions (especially those with children). I'm more than happy to see that some of these long sought-after transformations will be made available to the public at a premium - I still got them for free when I went to certain events, so I really haven't lost anything

So every Transformation power is a preview of costume parts we're never going to get?
