"extra" boss in Halloween trial

As mentioned in the recent Intrepid Informer dev interview piece, the Halloween Trial is supposed to contain an extra boss (or perhaps Elite Boss; I can't recall) as an "easter egg." How the heck do you get this thing to spawn? I've been told you need to speak to the NPC Devil Girl and then to the Bored Guy and Bored Girl, persuading them to eat the candy, but what else must be done? There must be more to it than that, since I have never seen the boss. Is this faction-limited, i.e., only accessible if you're playing the trial on a villain?

nobody can enter kanes mansion before performing the steps you mentioned, if anyone enters the house bored guy and bored gal do nothing and thus prevent the easter egg boss from spawning

Tried doing this last night but failed entirely due to PUG teams running through the door.

Me: Do you want to go for the badge?
Team: Yes

Me: Want to fight the extra boss?
Team: Yes

Me: Don't go into the build, okay?
Team: Yes

*team enters building*

Me: You are just replying "Yes" to everything I type aren't you?
Team: Yes

So, is there any significance to the woman queuing inside the house that you can have a conversation with?

And what's with the wolf at the back of the house who walks off through the back of the map about 30 seconds after you zone in and says "Nice day isn't it" when you click on him?

maybe try typing out sentences like you are actually speaking to someone. Building instead of build would also be good. I've never called a structure a 'build'.

I see this a lot in sewers going for the vahz badge. One person will say something horribly vague like "only boss", and no one who's new knows what the f he's talking about, and then said person flips out on everyone when a zombie dies.

Just for kicks one run I ran all the way back through the house, all the NPCs die/disappear, or just fall over motionless as 'attendees'. Except the wolf, he chills out on the porch.

too bad they don't give a badge for the " egg beaters " ( those that beat the extra boss ; )
that would be kool , a rare badge you can only get once a year , thats always spread word of mouth .

I spawned the Easter egg boss last night, just to check him out. It was neat how they included him into the trial, but...the boss itself was kind of lackluster. I won't describe it so as not to spoil it for those who haven't done it yet, but I was disappointed. I'm glad I experienced it, though. This game could do with a few more secrets like that.
