Architects: what are they doing?

Founder falls, when the university is behind you and the Infernal/Numina plaza in front of you, there are two red bricks buildings on you left without door.

I wonder if anyone bought a flat in one of these buildings.

Well, they have to put all those doorless SG bases somewhere.

Maybe that's where all the flying heroes live. Why would flying heroes need a ground door, after all? That makes no sense.

They can fly too. i'm sure there's tons of metas with only one or two powers that aren't very good for (or just inclined to) fighting crime who work in occupations that leverage their abilities.

Before I opened this thread, I expected it was going to be about that building in the new Atlas Park that's two separate structures joined together by a haphazard arrangement of girders. I cringe every time I pass by that particular eyesore.

I guess nobody ever enacted any wheelchair accessibility laws in Paragon City?

Obviously not. Look at all the public buildings with stairs as the only access.

Maybe super science replaces wheelchairs with bionic limbs or hover chairs? We do have a lot of brains floating in jars running around in robot bodies so maybe that's the Paragon version of a wheelchair.

No no no, clearly that is the primary form of community service punishments given out to metahumans.

Judge sentences a meta to 20 hours wheelchair carrying service.

They literally stand near those buildings and carry any handicapped people up and down the stairs as needed.

But the building it replaced was Always. In. The. Way.

Are they also windowless? I've seen buildings like that around NY City. They're usually part of a ventilation system for vehicle or subway tunnels. Of course, the trains in Paragon run above ground and there are no significant tunnels.

They're not windowless and they're quite large. Maybe ventilation for the Atlantic Ocean Highway Tunnel? (aka Ocean Tunnel aka Onannel...)

They're urban oil wells similarly to the ones in Los Angeles. Those oil tankers keep putting into port at Paragon City for a reason, you know.

Now all the cars in Paragon are super-efficient electrics, hence the reason you never see a gas station. Everyone just plugs in and recharges. But that doesn't stop the city from being a major oil exporter. The revenue from the exports helps keep taxes low, which is a big reason why people keep flocking to a city that is constantly being attacked by supervillains.

that and the high number of cape-chasers in the world, who constantly walk up to groups of thugs with their valuables out waiting to be mugged, just so they can compliment their rescuer's costume.

Good thing the Luddites have yet to begin openly raiding LIMB clinics. Things would get very dystopian very quickly. And pleasantly golden.

I love that building. Much better than the giant block of crap that was there before, with mission doors in the middle of the back side and more mission doors in the buildings behind the middle of the back side. And all of the contacts on the front side.

At PAX when they showed that picture, the ENTIRE ROOM cheered.

On the other hand, croque monsieurs are a pretty great consolation prize for people stuck on the sidewalk.
