What Origin is Lady Grey?
She was bitten by a radioactive dark/dark defender.

That... is unknown as far as I understand the Lore.
I'm guessing - maybe - magic? She is perhaps the Lady (in the Lake) that gave Hero 1 his sword Excaliber?
Sorry if I just screwed up all that Lore.
She seems to be a reference to Dorian Grey. So magic with a helping of magic would be my guess.

I also suspect that she and Lady Jane were originally written up in the story bible as the same character and that either simple oversight or the unlikelihood of the leader of Vanguard fighting in a mission that can spawn at relatively low level led to them being split into two separate characters.

I think she's magic origin - it seems to fit her very well.

Is there any official or in-game backstory to Lady Grey? I've read most of the RWZ arcs, and the little information gleaned from Ramiel's arc, but there really doesn't seem to be anything there. She's made out to be "Kind of a Big Deal" but official information is sparse, so in the end she's just kind of mysterious for the sake of being mysterious. And if there's one thing I hate it's people being needlessly mysterious.

My assumption has always been that she and Dark watcher are pure baseline unified Incarnate Origin, just like Statesman and Recluse. Just slow-path.
id say she currently is enigmatic for a reason, she's kind of a story trigger they re waiting to pull. maybe with the coming storm, maybe with whatever follows tcs. but right now shes just really powerful and outside the revealed sides.

Same here. We get to speak to her once or twice too about powers and she's secretive but that in itself seems to indicate she's not one of the traditional origins

I'm going to guess 'magic' as well, but origin is such a muddy classification anyway that it's probably not entirely accurate no matter which way you point the stick.
About the only thing I know about Lady Grey is that she was supposedly born September 19th 1809. (Info comes from the 4th anniversary calendar.)
Actually her original origin is the camellia bush
Thelonious Monk
Lady Grey is Lord Nemesis.
Her origin is "British."
Which is one part "magic" to two parts "fancy."

She's Incarnate origin, like Statesman and Recluse and a few others.

@Inquisitor
As far as I'm concerned being 'Incanate' in origin is just a specific type of magic origin. Come on, they get their powers from an ancient, intelligent, dimension spanning uber-source that Prometheus doesn't like very much. If that isn't a magic origin then I don't know another way to define it. And saying incarnate transcends all the other origins makes it even more magical sounding.

I've searched, and haven't been able to find my answer. The answer of many I'm sure is Magic, but I'm equally sure a strong case can be made for two other origins as well, (disregarding Science or Technology as they don't seem to fit the powers, but if you want to make the case please do). My very first instinct was she would be be revealed as a natural with a connection to wherever her dark powers come from. But it could also be a mutation, and I'm sure as I stated above is that it's simple magic. Thoughts, opinions?
