Discussion: When Do I Get My Paragon Points and Reward Tokens? (VIP)
I'd be just fine if all awards were on the 1st of each month, or the end of the month, or the 15th of the month, or on the 7th of the month, or the 21st of the month.
Of course, we'd lose all of many benefits we get from having the rewards awarded at various intervals throughout the month. But you have to take the good with the bad sometimes.
Consistency has never been the strong suit of this game.
My Reward Token was deposited, but no Paragon Points so far. We'll see if they get deposited tomorrow.
I almost get the feeling that they throw darts at a calendar to decide when to deposit stuff.
Zwill I was actually told by customer service you weren't awarding my rewards token despite payment date of 22nd of every month until the 1st of the month any explaination for that fiasco?
I've just had a rather interesting experience.
Bought a time card, applied it and, falsely, expected to get my reward tokens shortly thereafter (I have bought point bundles and got the appropriate amount of tokens shortly after). I lodged a ticket and received an email which apparently was 'an example' but appeared literal.
I challenged this, and he/she let me know they weren't being literal and sent me to the paragonwiki page which does not talk about the granting of tokens, just about the reward system and how it works out when converting from the old system.
This thread pointed out that I was wrong (thanks, Z!!), and I'm fine with being wrong (I've let the CS person know I was wrong, and provided them a link to this thread). Why are CS staff referring customers to paragonwiki and not official forum posts that educate the customer in the first post (by a Paragon Studios staff member, no less)??

I'm not understanding this at all. Haven't logged in since before Freedom launched. I got 40 reward tokens but 31 are already spent?
Main Hero: Chad Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1396 Badges
Main Villain: Evil Gulzow-Man (Victory) 50, 1193 Badges
Mission Architect arcs: Doctor Brainstorm's An Experiment Gone Awry, Arc ID 2093

Yes, they're automatically spent for you on rewards that were already unlocked under the old Veteran Rewards program.

Paragon Rewards is a stepped process. You must fill Tier 2 to advance to Tier 3, and so on all the way up. You can't pick and choose ONLY what you want (lol, how many people would skip Greek letters?), but you can choose in what order a certain selection of rewards will come to you.

Well it's after midnight -that makes it the 12th. No store points. My date falls on the 4th they took the money - we were told they would fall on the 11 th of the month and gradually synch up. Last month they fell on the 9th. So far nada- VIP?
If it wasn't for this "discussion" thread, I wouldn't even *remember* I was supposed to get Paragon points on some magical date because they still can't be reliably counted on to actually show up.
(apologies to my past English teachers)
I've already forgotten about most of you
Having all of these different dates doesn't benefit us at all.
W/e problems they're having with their coding could be sorted out in the back ground while they use a spreadsheet (or its equivalent) in the meantime to track what hey have awarded to whom. And then, once they get their side sorted, they could make the adjustments to the talllies.
But somewhere the decision was made to inconvenience us instead of them. And so, we have what we have.
At least that's how it seems.

At this point, all I want to know is: are they actually attempting to fix this so that it all applies at once (having heard the general outcry of unhappiness with the current system), or have the declared that it's all now working as intended and we should all just learn the new system?
I noticed that the link which previously showed the gradual sync up schedule now just has a paragraph stating that whenever you received your points in November is when you'll receive them going forward.

de facto it seems
I was disconcerted by this, since the points date is now tied to nothing in particular. I'm beyond confused.

This is exactly how a business loses good will with its customer base. Paragon needs to address this officially now, even if they don't have a fix ready. Given what we were promised initially when red names like Positron and Avatea announced the details of CoH Freedom, we deserve more than radio silence about this clusterflock.

That would be incredibly short-term thinking. I'm not saying that it's not possible - NCSoft might have given Paragon an ultimatum to milk their remaining subscriber base for all they can for the next year or so while competition from new and existing MMORPGs, both in its genre niche and in others, erodes its popularity - but it would be disappointing.

Ironically(?) they'll tell us who will die in their much-touted build up Signature Story Arc, but won't tell us more about resolving our issues here?

Fascinating - now I am told the I will get my December points on the 28th before midnight sometime. So now they are holding points I pay for on the 4th till the end of the month .Yep sound un VIPish to me.
some of my friends don t understand why i am complaining, so let use an example:
what if my stipend release is late in december, instead of 12/29 i have my stipdend... hum lets say 3 days later, not a big delay... so i have it on 01/01...
so my december stipend would be the same day than the january stipend of other players... just because i created my account on 29th, and them on 1st...
so i am a very bad VIP player who deserve to have 550 Paragon points less than other players, because i bought the game a 29th and not a 1st...
Let the stipend date be a fix date, the same date, for everybody, as it was the first months.... this is what is right to do... modify this date, make happy people, 1st part of the month buyers, "normal people", middle part of the month buyers, and angry people, last part of the month buyers...
i am an angry customer.
