Weren't name changes always that much? Also aren't server tokens cheaper then before, if you buy 2 or more? Same goes for server transfers, but now we get 1 free per month as a VIP.

I think I've spent around $70 for transfers and $200 or so on server slots in the past.

$15/month gets you access to the game, same as it always has. Plus some points. You could buy those points for $5. I'd call it $5 worth of points.

If I had known this was a limited time offer, I'd have bought it. I'm just now seeing this thread, and I didn't see anything on the front page of the website. I saw it in the market, but figured I could buy it at any time. I often don't purchase new costume pieces until I have a character idea in mind for them, except in the case of limited time offers.

(One of my characters got his powers from a sunken pirate captain's curse, so this would have been a good costume for something. )

I know (sorry I wasn't clear), I'm saying I would have used it for a character. I know most people just use costume powers to show off around Atlas Park, but I like to think of ways to make characters out of them.

(I was VERY happy to see all the costume powers in the market.)

Its not permanent,I bought it and found that it was listed under Temporary Powers,2 week use only and could be deleted. I really hope it is,otherwise I'd advise everyone to avoid buying it until they fix it.

[Beta Testers]Zombie Man: Harlot is Swan's nickname too. And Dominatrix. And Sister Psyche. And Mynx. And Bobcat. And Synapse.

It was removed from the store yesterday, so nobody could buy it now anyway.

I can remember when costume codes like this were given out for free in competitions...

Heck that's how I got my two Carnie costumes and my Coralax costume.

No sodding way I'd have paid the asking price for this. Really quite sad to see Paragon Studios charging ridiculous amounts for what was once given away free.

Badge Earned: Wing Clipper

A real showstopper!

This morning, major buyer's remorse, something I have NEVER experienced with COH, as I thought about how much I spent for one single (permanent) costume power. Even on sale, its MUCH too high. I'm not whining, mind you, I should have thought about the purchase some more (but it was a pirate! AARRR!!!)
Yeah, I did this too. I didn't even pay attention to how much I was spending until it was already purchased. Then I found out that the pirate costume is male only and I'm really regretting it. To be fair I see a picture in the thread now, but it wasn't displaying it for me earlier when I actually bought this. And according to support, the fact that it in no way says it is male only in the store description doesn't justify a refund/cancellation of the power.

Now I have a bunch of characters with a power I will never use cluttering up their powers window. It has a delete option, but that doesn't seem to work properly either. >_< I *might* spend this much on the convention exclusive costumes, because 1) I am a tool and 2) they at least tell me if the costume is male or female. For these, I'd pay *maybe* the 200-400 point cost of most of the former item pack or boxed set powers. Without good descriptions though, even if I really wanted the toggle (I have a lot of characters that are based off existing hero/villain groups) I would be afraid to get them and have them be male only.

Ok dumb question. I am looking at the paragon shop and i notice that some of the itmes i can buy like auras vangaurd costume. If i already have it why is it one my market still. What would have if i by accedent purchased it. Is there a warning or such. Another example is i bought all those booster packs. There on the market now. Shouldnt they not show up for my or tell me i have them. I dont want to waste my points. OhBTW how how do we get Paragon Reward Points?

When you go to check out, the item will be in your list as though you could purchase it. Once you tell it to pay the PP required, it would stop you and inform you that you are exceeding the allowed limit on one of your items. If you are trying to buy more than one thing at a time, it does NOT tell you which item you cannot buy.

There are a few costumes I would love to have like the Dark Ring Mistress, but 600 for this awful one? lol

Black Pebble, I want the Dark Ring Mistress!

The currently offered NPC costumes are for the blocky, low-res, ugly old NPC sets. The decent/fun looking stuff like the Rikti costume, Meat Doctor, Ring Mistress, Victoria and all the convention exclusives aren't even offered. I'd pay 400-600 for a couple of THOSE. The rest of these little cosmetic powers need to be priced at 100-200 points each if you ever wanna sell them in meaningful numbers.

Gonna have to say sorta the same thing about the storage expansions. The cost needs to be roughly halved (or at least put on deep discount for a week) before I'll consider buying them. Global or not, you guys really need to look at what you're offering and realize that we're not dumb enough to give you ten bucks to look like an ugly ghost pirate.

The market isnt just about making extra money for paragon

It's about ripping people off.

Ya....pretty much. And considering the fact that it's a cosmetic toggle power with no ingame effects (cloak vs NPC's, etc), then it's considerably overpriced. I don't plan on getting any of them, but even 100pts is high to me.

A buddy of mine just went from Free to Premium, the very 1st thing he bought was...

Shadowy Presence.

He toggled it on proudly and announced to the team to check him out, all excited, and then ran over to us.

His reaction went from elation to anger, stating it should warn you that it isn't usable. I had to assure him that there aren't that many 'Buyer Beware' type items in the store and he just happend to stumble on one of the worst. I was getting texts from him the next few days, everytime he'd go to buy something he'd vet it with me first.
