I had a 3000 points worth of stuff in the cart.

The cart told me I was over the spending limit. It didnt tell me what the spending limit was.

I downscaled and downscaled until it let me buy my stuff which was under 2k points.

I don't suffer from altitis, I enjoy every minute of it.

Thank you Devs & Community people for a great game.

So sad to be ending ):

I want to buy some more stuff but sadly I am waiting a response from a GM regarding my Barbarian Pack. I bought it, it took my points, yet its still locked

Man, $250... $300

You guys are COMMITTED fans... or should be committed, not quite sure which at this point.

No reason it can't be both, I guess.

I just used up the points I already had on the Beam set and all the costume pieces I didn't already have.

EDIT: Note for all the devs that see this thread:

See the names of the big spenders?
You have their billing addresses.

Here's the next travel power I want:

With a laser beam, of course...

I spent ten bucks on top of my stipend and have a few points left over. I suspect that I'll be dropping another ten to fifteen when Halloween arrives. The extra storage is still priced a bit high for my tastes. I can hold off on that until there's a sale on Paragon Points.

I hope that we get a really good item or two at Halloween. It's a bit strange to me that the "whale" items seem to be the costume powers. I think you might need to do better than that, but I suppose it's an easy way to start out with something sort of unusual and sort of unique (except for all of the limited time versions that will be out at Halloween). Some people do pay lots of real money to get the limted edition Pax and SDCC costumes, I guess.

I used my stocked points on Beam Rifle and the Rocket Board, that leaves me at about 340 I think, and I hope not to purchase much more and survive off the stipend.

I was EXTREMELY disappointed to discover the Streak Path Aura gated behind Reward Tokens. Then I discovered that it will take me 15 months stipend, $225 worth of purchased points, or some combination of the two before I can get it. Whatever level of disappointment is above "EXTREMELY," I'm there

Jesus you guys. Ease into it!

The only thing I've spent was the 640 (?) for Beam Rifle, and I had 1200 points to begin with.

The extra storage would be nice, and I would like to fill my Paragon Rewards tiers (I'm midway through T6 or T7... Can't recall), but all in good time.

About the only other thing I'm tempted to buy is the Alpha and Omega costume sets, but all of that can wait.

I'm not even sure how one could spend $350 with what's on there now...

Thanks for eight fun years, Paragon.

Main account: I was an 84 month vet so I didn't feel compelled to "catch up" on Vet rewards. I spent 15.00 for some extra points and grabbed the barbarian costume, beam rifle set, and the 6 transfer sale. I think that was it. Oh, and a 6th costume slot.

Second account: I haven't played my second account yet. I'm afraid I'll be tempted to spend more money.

I'll likely play the game once a week for the next nine months, or so. I will have built up nearly 6K in points during that time. I'm not somebody who has to have any and everything that PS adds to the game.

+1. I have gone though dead end jobs, job loss, and financial loss in the past two years. My head just shakes at what people are dropping so quickly in the Paragon store. Knock yourself out if you can afford it, but it comes across as utterly wasteful in terms of money management.

egads...unless I'm getting my tax return check (I'd drop $50), I never put down more than $20 at a time for games like this.

You can set your spending limit (I set it when I first logged in; I don't know how to access it after the fact, if anyone wants to add that). The default is $100 a month. Which is A LOT YOU GUYS!

Oh, I did have a couple of questions...

Please verify:
First purchase with real money on the store = One Reward Token
Each additional $15 spent = One Reward Token
$15 = 1200 points

Is that all correct?

And then on my own specific concern - How many points is the Alpha/Omega costume pack? How much would it cost to buy each item separately? Do you save any by buying a bundle as opposed to ala carte?

you are correct

Oddly enough they throttle the amount of points you can buy. I tried to buy another point pack for 100 dollars and it won't let me saying you can only buy X amount of this code per household...

Whats the deal with that?

You need to bear in mind, some people easily spend $100 bucks in month on things like like a night at the bar, dinner with friends, or summer blockbusters. Forking out for virtual goods may seem somehow more ephemeral, but it's no more transitory.

Having money you can spend on entertainment or other nonessential goods is the very definition of "disposable income". People should always be aware of their potential for displacement out of their current income bracket, especially in these turbulent times, but we can't assume that because they're blowing cash on a video game that they aren't so aware.

NCSoft has always had such limits. They're a fraud prevention mechanism. If anything, $100 is significantly higher than it used to be.

How often can you purchase these then? Kind of annoying I wanted all the inventory space increases...

Ultimus you just need to go into your account and change your card settings so you can spend as much as you want. This limit is just on by default you can turn it off.

Where do you change it? On the Master Account but I am not seeing a spot on it.

I figured it out but its still giving me the error. It isn't a spending limit its counting toward me its a code purchasing limit:

https://help.ncsoft.com/app/answers/...mits/related/1

Is the website it is directing me to. Basically saying you can only buy X amount of the 100 dollar point thing a month and wants you to buy the other packages...

Pretty much this above...

I'm surprised how many people said they've plopped down $100 or more on this...yikes...

Only thing I have purchased so far is Beam Rifle and even then I have had a little buyers remorse (mainly cause I don't care for BR that much....but it's a new powerset and I love new powersets!).

Saving points for new powersets...might splurge and spend some of my points that I have now on ccemotes or other emotes I don't have.
