Yes, seeing them during bullet rain. It's like the "transparent" figures aren't any more.
I've seen them in Bullet Rain. I think I've seen them in Kinetic Melee powers as well.
Me too, Bullet Rain and Hail of Bullets. it wa slate last night so it didn't really register until I saw this post.
I've also seen them a few times, but I can't remember exactly what was going on at the time. I'll keep track in the future.

I have them as well, on my DP blaster, HoB, bullet rain, and piercing shot. i hope they can put it back the way they were. Not pleasing to look at!

I'm glad someone got a screen shot of this. I saw this yesterday on my dual pistols blaster. It was happening for me when using piercing shot. I don't recall if I saw it for any of the other powers in the set.

This is also happening with the "Dimension Shift" costume change emote. Instead of near invisible/stealthed "echos" of the character, there are rather more solid looking "purple paper dolls" that appear.
Yep, got it on my DP blaster too.
It's really distracting in combat. I've /bugged it.
I gotta be honest, I like the effect, at least when applied to Dimension Shift.

Same here, get the purple dolls whenever I use dimension shift or gun-fu powers.

Bah should have read this. I just posted this as well. When I read paper doll I think more of the toon your looking at when your looking at your character for example in the character builder and not the actual toon that your controlling in game.

Morgan was the first to come up with the brilliant term. I had no clue what to call them.
I have seen this too..and I KNOW what is causing it. I was doing the UG trial on my dp blaster. With my graphic settings around..middle? I used HoB, and it was the normal animation. Then, I crashed. SO I lowered all my settings. In particular:
Max particles down to 100
Character Detail low
And then I used HoB again..and got the purple dolls. Nothing else changed.
I don't know what they are or were they come from but I have them bad. I get them during animations like Bullet Rain and Hail of Bullets. I also get them during emotes like Dimensional Shift
I find them creepy, scary and they clash with my costume.
