  5. I don't know how to use the Shader Editor. It comes up empty when I activate it, and hitting Refresh on the GLI Shaders window doesn't populate it.

    Well, this is with -useTexEnvCombine and with ExtensionOverride on to preserve the pose of my character, so I guess no custom shaders are in effect. The graphics I see are at about minimum, anyway, except for World Detail and Character Detail.

    I cleaned it up in Blender, but didn't weld or subdivide anything as you can see. Then I put a texture on it in Poser 5, where I'm more comfortable with texturing.

    The UV coordinates are coming out of OGLE all mixed up:

    I tried putting

    CaptureTextureCoords = True;

    in gliConfig.ini. It generates UVs, but it's got some problems. Some of the UV coordinates (presumably for unmapped polygons, but I don't know) have math errors like #QNAN and #Inf leaking through to the output file. Once those are corrected, the model still doesn't match what's seen in game:

    I would make a list of really awesome cool names. Any that aren't on the banned list get added. Every week during scheduled maintenance, a random active player character gets renamed to one of the names on the list.

    That's just illustrating the new style dialog trees to be introduced in a future Issue. The intent is to give your character the ability to speak in any* voice, by giving a choice of various accents and attitudes. (*For sufficiently stupid values of "any")

    Actually, some "with skin" pieces are both white and shiny:

    I don't know if that can be done with masks - it might require a separate texture for every face and mask combination. But I'd like to see more "with skin" textures in all categories representing "basic" clothing, with edges that look sewn/hemmed/trimmed as seen in the above image.

    There could be "Tights Plus" and "Tights Sleek Plus" versions of Bikini 1-3, Shorts 1-3, and matching versions of a bunch of the plain Tops with Skin like Tanker, Bikini, and Belly Shirt Long and Short. And a more realistic looking T-shirt. The graphics engine demonstrably supports textures like that.

    Men already have a T-shirt and tank top that look nice, although they aren't properly white. The attempt at a cloth texture is a bit too dark and coarse. Their briefs ("bare" pants) look less painted-on than women's shorts, but I think they could use a bit more of a border, somehow. Still, even if the men's shorts became the new standard for texture resolution and edge detail, it would be a great improvement over the women's existing bikinis and shorts.

    Men's briefs could also have a Sleek version, to match a Tights Sleek top. I probably wouldn't make a male character who wears a leotard in the style mentioned above, but you never know.

    Although I came here to ask for more detailed versions of the existing brief clothing styles and not entirely new designs, and I think the few revealing outfits men have are all much better than the worst ones for women, I see that I've asked for a women's T-shirt already. So, can we get some shorts for men that are in between the baggy Boxer trunks and the exhibitionistic Bare briefs? Say, put a hemmed border on the women's Athletic Shorts, and then port them to the male models.

    So:

    * Opaque-looking, higher res versions of Bikini 1-3, Shorts 1-3, and Athletic Shorts, preferably with trimmed edges resembling women's Tank Top, at least on the leg openings.

    * Versions of the above that match the Tights Sleek luster.

    * Ditto all of the above for women's Bikini top, Belly Tees, Athletic, and Sport.

    * Port something like the men's T-shirt to women.

    * Port the improved Athletic Shorts above to men.

    * Sleek versions of Athletic Shorts and Bare briefs for men.

    Higher res, non-painted-on versions of any other women's Tops with Skin would also be welcome, in the same style as the Tank Top.

    I'm using a Radeon HD 5570, also a low power consumption card of roughly similar age to the one in your laptop, and also with 128 bit 900MHz RAM which seems to be my bottleneck.

    With a resolution only slightly higher than your laptop (1280x960) and the forums open on my second monitor, I get fairly dependable 30fps near Atlas Plaza and up to 75 in a deserted corner of Atlas. This is with reflections turned all the way up and shadows on the penultimate notch. Occasionally I turn FSAA on for a screenie and forget to turn it back off - it doesn't kill my frame rate nearly as much as all the graphic detail, powers and auras near Ms. Liberty.

    In missions, even my current DA mission at x8, I'm staying well above 40fps solo - right now it's 90 while being shot at. I haven't monitored the frame rate when the harpies start chucking fire and ash in all directions, though, just some low-end KOV with guns and swords. If it did pose a problem, I could turn particle count down.

    Your graphics card should be able to handle CoH just fine. If you decided you needed 60fps everywhere, or a large screen, perhaps not so much - but you'd use a desktop in those circumstances anyway.

  22. I don't recall how it originally worked, but macroslot currently takes an absolute tray address, not one based on which trays are displayed. Try macroslot 30 "hi" and so on.
