At night, whether old moon, double moon, or enlarged Halloween/Astoria moon, you can see the stars thru it/them.... so, yeah, more opaquey would be nice.

The rough rule of thumb on the apparent size of the moon is to take a dime and hold it at arms length. The moon typically appears about half that size.

For anyone still using 35mm film cameras - the image on the negative will be about 1mm across for every 100mm focal length of the lens.
This will mean on a typical 5*4 print taken with a standard lens you can expect it to be about 2mm across.

Really it's the polar orbit and seeing stars through it that bother me the most out of all of CoH's lunar anomalies.
