Base Bugs in I21
Any eta of a fix to the logos? not that I'm in any rush...
Edit: I guess minor tweaks just goes to show how schizophrenic the code of the editor really is. handle with care is an understatement. I wish the team had something better to work with.

Well.. the Bio hazard symbol is the biggest problem for me. I am not able to repair myself.. if I should have to. The repair has to be implemented like the bug cam ein.
I have over 100 items at least uding the symbol.. over a huge base.. on diff levels and floating items. Impossible to switch them by hand.

Taxpayers only get so much control over how their dollars are spent towards the greater good. Posi keep saying they have plans for bases in the near future, but I'll believe him when I see it
That being said, my base has also been biohazard'ed Glad to know that there's no current fix so I don't waste my time on it at the moment.
Like most of you I have been here since alpha and have never let my VIP status lapse. I remember when we had base raids, COP, and Items of Power. That went kaplooie really quick. I was at the first official COH convention when I asked about bases. They said the same exact words, "We can't say anything about bases, but we are working on it." I have learned to adapt and continue to play the game, but IMHO i think hell will freeze over before ANY base fixes/updates/scenes will ever come about.
One thing I thought would not be to difficult for those of us who love our bases was to get some more/new textures. We can't even get those. I love this game but bases are a lost cause. Again, this is my own opinion.

While it didn't make it into the Official Patch Notes for i21, it was mentioned in one of the Beta Patches. Sorting storage alphabetically has been a longstanding request by the community, especially since the log function was trashed in i13 (or was it i12?... same diff.). . |
I think this is a good thing for the salvage racks and inspiration storage containers. It's a HORRIBLE thing for IO storage. They should at least give us a drop down with the option to sort by set.

Ummm... do you mean set type? Alphabetical is sorted by set since all the names begin with the set name.
Since they didn't make any changes to the base in I21, what I want to know is why the base logo was affected in the first place?

And yet ... you completely discount multiple and repeated statements by Zwillinger and Others in the weekly UStream Chats that the Devs ARE WORKING ON BASES and they just can't talk about what they're doing yet. When was the last time they talked like this about something they've got in the works?

So cling to your Assault Rifles and Religion of DOOOOM if you must, but the rest of us are paying attention to what the Devs are saying *NOW* about Bases ... LIVE ... on Internet TV ... almost on a weekly basis, and have come to a Very Different Conclusion about the future of SG Bases than you have. Nice try though. |

I'm trying to figure out how the base claimable item bug and the sg banner bug were not fixed in beta... unless of course it's still another indication of the lower priority bases hold in the devs' eyes.

Has anyone experienced screen shaking when you place salvage into storage shelves? That seems to be happening in my base and it causes shaking not only for the person using the shelves but any others in the base as well.
It's probably the re-draw. One of those longtime quirks. Everytime you put/take something in the salvage racks, the entire base re-draws itself.

YUMMY Low-Hanging Fruit for BASE LUV
An irritant to me is that I enter my base and it takes about 3 seconds to fill in all the textures and details. Enter in get fuzzy view of the entryway and down hallways. Solid one color green walls, solid one color lights, a brown block for a table or chair, etc.
Then a second visual pass happens and some details starts appearing. You get the room lighting affecting the walls, torches have a shape and two colors but no flicker, a chair becomes recognizable as a chair, you can see a colored object down the hallway in an adjacent room, etc.
And then a third visuals pass brings in all the rest of the details. You see wall textures, bricks, wood textures on walls, shadows under chairs, and the rest of the details.
This is kind of irritating to me.

I don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but my Inspiration storage crashes me to desktop every time I use it.
The City of Heroes Community is a special one and I will always look fondly on my times arguing, discussing and playing with you all. Thanks and thanks to the developers for a special experience.
I too have the same problem with the Bio Hazard emblem taking over my base. I also removed all items with symbols from base but I hope to put many of them back when problem is fixed. Its good to hear it will be worked on I have sent more than one bug petition since i21 came out.

Is this similar to the lights flickering from custom to default? I've had that happen in another base of mine when editing or using salvage racks but not the quakes.

Well I just submitted a support petition, and then I stumbled on this post. Have the same issue with the Biohazard emblem, but my real issue (which I couldn't find anywhere in this thread) is my base in non-functioning. I can enter it, the upkeep is paid up, but it states that I have no power or control. Anyone else have this issue, or know a way to fix this?
Like I said, I submitted a petition, but after reading this thread, I don't have much hope that the devs will get back to me.
This only affected my base on Protector, and not my base on Liberty.

Well, ask and you receive (I think). My base is now working. I got a reply from NCsoft Support, but they said they were escalating the issue. Just went in and now my base is working. Don't know if it was coincidence or if they did something. Regardless it's working now (except for the emblem issue that we all have been discussing).
Let's hope they fix the emblem issue soon.

Anyone else notice the "Present" Inspirations trying to sort themselves alphabetically = endlessly & with very little luck?
A bin full of mostly Present's does this seemingly easily (And if I'm not mistaken - it's worse if different characters put them in said Bin. Adding a certain number of other inspirations seems to "fix" it...
