Any update on servers 'dying'?

Biting back the sarcastic answer, I would hazard a guess that it's final checks and double checks to make sure whatever fixes they've made are solid. Otherwise people will probably be getting a distinct sense of deja vu in the same day.

What exactly are the BS excuses they've been giving? I see nothing BS about trying to fix problems with the server upgrades they've been working on today. Better they fix them now and get it over with.

They're doing major hardware AND software updates. Things don't ALWAYS go smoothly when upgrading the bare iron.

The last time they upgraded the servers, we had intermittent problems like this too. But this is the Intarwebz. Memory? Wuzzat?

Well, there's your problem. Find other things to do besides COH. Read a book. Sleep. Cook something you didn't really feel you had time to try cooking before. Go jogging. Talk to someone you haven't talked to in a while. Talk to someone you have, but outside of - and about something other than - COH. Do stuff around the house. Mow the lawn.

We've got a grocery store down the way here that's undergoing expansion. I lose a good chunk of parking lot and it's less convenient to get there, park, and get around inside the building.

However, when they're done (2 months maybe?) it'll be much bigger, easier to get around in, and have far more parking.

My choices:
- ***** and moan about the situation NOW, or
- Realize it's temporary and will be better when they're done.

Think of the servers the same way. They're upgrading. They're expanding. They're making MAJOR changes. THERE WILL BE PROBLEMS. But those problems *will be temporary.* I get it's inconvenient to varying degrees - it is for me too. And they know it. But it's *temporary.* And it's not exactly life threatening.

I'm *hardly* a fan of the devs in general. I grouse about them constantly - with stuff they *deserve* to be griped at about (like all the "new shineys" that no longer are and end up forgotten and neglected when they need work.) But this? This isnt' something I'll grouse about.

Two reasons:
1) Entitlement. Perspective is just a drawing and pictures thing that has nothing to do with anything else in life.
2) Located in New Jersey. Being in/from New Jersey means you are the the pinnacle of humanity and human potential. The various shows set in that state in the past decade alone should have made this obvious already. (i was born there, so i know from experience.)
