Any update on servers 'dying'?

The way I see it is they're getting everything right before Freedom launches... Heck, it's not like the game is going down for days at a time. I'm pretty sure Paragon City will be safe for a few hours without us around.

That is twice now that we lose the entire Thursday due to this maintenance. Growing a bit upset here.
Server upgrade ok, a necesary evil. Then an emergency break, Well bad stuff happens. We all make errors, annoying but we'll survive.
But then we do it all over again next week?
There is a limit to patience.

I know I'm in a minority here, but Thursdays are my ONLY day off that I can actually get some play time in. Wouldn't it make sense to not ALWAYS have the massive server downtime on the same day? I'm just frustrated.

Paragon Points to all players affected seem like a better compensation, if that is what you're striving for.

Thats not much help if you've got no characters on the VIP Beta.
Zwil did say something about them being powered by unicorns. Paragon must keep running out of virgins.

Oh wait.. I used British Telecom.. you could do another server upgrade right after and I still wouldn't of finished dl'ing..
Someone should get a Downtime Server built, that has only one large Zone, so quick to DL, and can be added to the normal server list. So that when this happens, we can all have one big Pocket D to go and stand about complaining at each other in.

Hopefully they're fixing the really massive lag, errors, buff issues, team window issues, rubberbanding, artifacts etc that have been plaguing a lot of us the past week or so.
Of course, they say they discovered it during maintenance, so I'm confused. How do you discover something like that during maintenance, then let the servers go live, THEN remember you really should fix it?
