I have to say, im not usually one to complain, but the "server down" updates seemed to have stopped -> http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=270359

Does anyone know whats actually happening?

Thing is (and I know this might sound sad) I deliberately rescheduled my whole week to play CoH today, and its been down all day. Not that I mind that I have been bored senceless with no one about because they've all gone out knowing i'll be playing CoH, BUT I do expect some kinda status update, so at least I know if its worth waiting a bit longer or just ** off out!!

Yep, which says a lot about this game if that poster is willing to play a beta over this live game.

Count me as one of the annoyed. Typically I could careless, but it affects me today so I'm annoyed. That's the way it works.

I "Feel Your Pain!" I've been unable to play City of Heroes for almost 90 days due to my military duties (extended field training) and then other commitments when I got back from the field. I was on for a couple of hours last night, then I got up at 0600 hrs PST (expecting the standard Thursday maint. time 0400-0600 hrs PST; its now after 1400 hrs PST (or 2:00 PM for civilians) and Still NO JOY!

Duty, it is the most sublime word in the English language, you can never do more, you should never wish to do less.

Two weeks in a row? Weren't they surprised last week and had troulbe getting ther servers back up? I have said this before, but if you staff is continually surprised, why do you keep them around? I am not cancelling my subscription over extended maintainence, but it wouldn't hurt to get it right a couple of weeks in a row.

Oh ffs! there giving away freebees all day on the "BETA" server.

If i'd known that I would have started the Subcribers BETA download ages ago.

Its going to take 5hrs to download the BETA game files on my internet.

Can the overreactions lol. I was excited to get home to play today as well. With college back in session and work I have limited time. It's not happening today. Oh well. They are fixing something. Your not losing out on much finance-wise. Argue how much of your play time it is all you want you wasted more money in 1 day on snacks/soda.

If your really truly that angry about it being down then 2 things are likely true.

1. You really really like COH.

2. You really really need to have at least 2 hobbies so that you have a backup. Me? I'm playing KOTOR through again in preparation from SWTOR.

I'm on play through number 8 or something now on KOTOR. I've been following SWTOR since 2008.

I'm not actually bothered. Its the lack of updates im bothered about. If they kept us up-to-date i could have planned to do somthing else, instead Im stitting here waiting/hoping the servers will pop back on any minuite.

Your subscription pays for server access for 24 hours a day for the full month. NOT just when you decide to log on.

I was able to log all the way in on Virtue, but none of the other servers are accessible, throws me directly back to the login screen.

The thing that upsets me is, I've been stuck at work late, so I haven't been able to log on to the Beta server to try to get one of the giveaway codes.

I don't kow what to tell you. I'm on Virtue right now; it's double yellow load in fact. It is currentlythe ONLY server that is up right now.

I also live in Australia...so only 9:20am for me.

i just must say... bravo... not only did the servers get taken down smack in the middle of EU Primetime AS USUAL, it also took over 9hrs to get them back up... well done...

i'm not even gonna try to be constructive in my criticism here... it's just plain horrible that this happens as often as it does...

Logged into beta, had the following pop up in chat:

[Admin] NCsoft_Freitag: Hello everyone! The following servers are now available for play: Freedom, Champion, Virtue, Pinnacle, Justice, and Infinity. More servers to follow soon!

I'm getting a DBServer error from all live and both beta servers. Haven't tried test, though.

I logged in, got a Moonfire and DCed in the first mission. Now, I can't log into Freedom.

I could log on to Guardian just fine 5 minutes ago, but still can't get onto freedom.

Earlier in the day, when the servers first crashed, I was on Freedom in the Icon at Indy Port. I wonder if that character is now corrupted? I was in the middle of a complete costume change. I got the costume completed then when it went back to normal screen, I saw the mapserver message.
