Magisterum can make an appearance, he hasn't done a public event in a long time. I'm on my phone so I couldn't scan the majority of posts, but how would we all gather? A premonition?

Don't kick yourselves too hard, the event was crashed by jerks whom I'd be glad to name outside of the forums for purposes of global ignore.

yeah my character's fairly hard to permanently kill...but then I have text fighted with someone who is ALWAYS dodging...I have no problem taking a hit, my main can take hits alll daayyy lonnng.

Yeah, I'll let you guys know. I'm pretty pissed off at what happened and I'm also very disappointed with the discovery of these jackasses.

I used to think they were actual RPers.

Did end up making the event, but everything major must have happened while I was AFK (can't be denied food, after all). I could probably venture a guess as to what may have happened with great accuracy, but I'm not about to make any assumptions here and I'll keep any of my thoughts about that and other things to myself.

I did, however, have a nice RP with one of the remaining folks that was in the Midnighter's when I came back, so in short, the event was a minor success for me.

On another note, I'll (hopefully) be working with Nalrok to produce more RP community together events. Just got real life and my Fall Madness on schedule to worry about atm, so heh.

Alright folks, time for a summary.

The event started off well and progressed that way for about an hour. I tried to make global friend connections with everyone there, as I really enjoyed myself and it seemed like people were enjoying themselves.

About an hour in, the event went to hell.

Now, Shade and I are going to continue doing stuff like this because what we did see before the stupidity ensued was Grade-A "what we want to have" RP material.

Unfortunately I think the next time I do this I'm going to send out PMs rather than announce the time and location publicly. I'll make a post saying I'm doing another RP event, but it will simply say "Post in this thread if you want to know when/where it is" or something to that effect.

For those of you that attended, thank you so much. It meant a lot to me.

Okay just want to say, I had a pretty good time. Except that someone kept IM'ing me during it, which was of course, very distracting. I was Taboo, the shy one.


Anyway, I liked how it was going, and only left when a friend of mine came online, and I saw the frat bunch started turning it into silliness. Anyway, I actually impressed myself that I did speak up as much as I did. Here's hoping I didn't say anything too foolish sounding.

I had a good time too. This event was a good start, and sure, parts of it may not have worked out as originally hoped. There were a few non-rp observers who were doing power spams (possibly without realizing it), and the atmosphere did slide into too much of a party later on.

Focusing the invites may help the next time around, limiting advertising off the main global channels, and even keeping an option to relocate if needed, may help.

I want to thank the organizers -- your efforts are very much appreciated!

Not to be "that guy," but I know one of the roleplayer's characters is like that. He's a dick, and he doesn't care. However, lumping the rest of his supergroup in with his mistake is just dumb, in my opinion. The rest of the group might be great roleplayers, with just a bad apple. You know?

It was fairly fun, I'll admit. I didn't get much conversation, but it was still interesting to see.

If the person/people that "ruined" things were doing so completely ICly, can you actually fault them for them playing out how their characters naturally are?

I've edited my previous posts, but I've talked with two of them now. I'm trying to settle the dust.

Long story short: I was pissed the hell of because this shindig fell apart in less than an hour and I had about 9 people let me know in /tells that they were upset due to the players causing the whole mess, and another 10 people tell me they were glad they didn't show up.

That's disheartening and really ******* frustrating. Yeah, I acted hastily and yeah, I got my pants in a knot. If I caused your event to go sour then you'd be pissed at me.

I'm trying to keep good air between the two whom I've talked to, because I'll respect anyone who calls me on my frustrated rantings and I'd rather build bridges.
