I know, patience. It's crazy, right?

It, like sanity, is overrated

I'm actually beginning to wonder if we haven't been over-estimating the time to release (and consequently, the PP/Tokens we'll have). If they're happy enough with the build they have to have it playable at SDCC, I wonder if a release in time for the US Labor Day weekend (Sep 3-5) might be in the cards.

Well, then, they'd better get busy getting those done! If they need someone to stand by and crack the whip occasionally, I'm available. Have whip, will travel.

But if they're so busy with the new forms of flight, when will they find time to animate the whip?

September is the projected timeframe for the game about a well-aged conglomeration of planets that practices a form of government similar to that of the USA and whose developer's name rhymes with WioBare.

I have seen other games planning various things around that timeframe, so I would not be surprised if that is our "soft date" for Freedom, to counter some of the lost subs from people going to the new shiny. Dropping Freedom at that time allows those fickle players to remain "in the fold" and gives a reason to come back when the shiny of the other fades.

I thought this had all been settled long ago. The price of freedom is a buck-o-five.

I only ask because you have to use your subscription credit card for the latter, but the NCsoft Store allows Paypal, which is where my "fun money" goes....
I could be wrong, but I believe the way it will work is that a player will purchase Paragon Points outside of the game, and then all purchases with Paragon Points will occur within the game interface. So Paypal should still be a viable payment option.

A Dev let "October" slip in a post within the last month, so that seems to be the soft target, yes.

Probably not in my case. I have every boxed edition and every booster pack.

So cam we buy an entire booster pack or just individual pieces?

I would think the Hoverboard animations could be the same as the Prestige Spring: Slide power, so they already exist.

Note that this is speculation, but I suspect booster packs will no longer be offered. It will be more of an ala carte thing, though there might be discounted bundles to encourage some big-ticket spending (where $20 would be considered "big ticket" by most people).

Given that the "Complete Magic Costume Set" from the Magic Pack is listed as costing 400, the full range of boosters from that pack (a complete costume with multiple elements for each gender, five emotes, four costume change emotes, and the Mystic Fortune temp power) would easily total more than 1200 points. That's the equivalent of approx. $15, and the original booster pack cost only $9.99. That's the way a la carte pricing works.

Thanks - this running tally is very useful. (I'm beginning to think that although I'm not overly taken with the Mutant Booster, it might be better value for money to buy the whole thing now for ten bucks rather than potentially pick it up piecemeal in the future.)

A quick question! Will I still have full access to the booster packs I have already purchased?

Yes. The devs have confirmed on multiple occasions that you will retain access to all the packs you have already bought.

This is why I have been snatching up all the packs over the past few months, usually one or two packs per pay period. I work it in alongside my comic book budget. Don't laugh, but previous to the announcement of Freedom, I always lagged behind on Booster Pack purchases, because I sort of enjoyed knowing there were always two or three more packs if I got in the mood to do some fashion shopping for my characters. I didn't want to be caught up. I guess I felt it'd be like walking into my local comic book store one month and not seeing anything new to buy. That would suck more than knowing I owned everything in the comic book store.

Anyway, as of a week ago, I now own every booster pack, expansion, and even a few rarer codes from collector's editions on Amazon (and some contests and giveaways). I've only been playing for two years, but I love this game so much. So today's Paragon Market announcement made me very happy. Very cool to see all the new stuff waiting for me to click on it and buy it, especially the Time Manipulation set and extra costume slots.

I hope we can view other players wishlists and buy them things. If we can't the term Wishlist needs to be renamed to something else.
