Any "non-free" or premium powerset, including ones that are free for VIP's (such as Time Manipulation), will be purchasable by *anyone* in the store.

Anyone meaning anyone. Regardless of Tier level in the Paragon Rewards Shrubbery, free or Premium.

They're largely populated by people who don't read the forums, and their capacity to answer questions is dependent on what the marketing department will let them say. There's also the fact that people keep asking the same questions with slightly different wording and get frustrated when Beastyle or Zwillinger don't address them specifically with a response, despite having already answered the same question three times in that session.

I did talk to Z a bit at Comic Con, and he said that a lot of times the long space in between their posts on Facebook during these events is because they're awaiting authorization as to how specific an answer they're allowed to give. And that's if they're allowed to answer it at all; otherwise you get the canned response, "We'll be discussing that in more detail in the coming weeks."

It's one of the reasons that I and other similarly-minded people try to jump in and answer the "easy" questions; the more of those that can get batted away, the more new questions we can get answered.

I have a question, and I'm hoping the answer's out there somewhere and I've just overlooked it. If so, can someone please point me in the right direction?

Question: I have three "filler" accounts. I used them to fill small SGs so that I would have more Prestige to start with. Each account is at 0 or 1 Vet Rewards badges. When Freedom goes live, what happens to the filler characters in those SGs?

Nothing that hasn't happened to them already. If they still show up in your SG roster, then they're not going anywhere.

If you haven't deleted them, then they'll still be there if you ever decide to load up that account again.

Now, you'll be limited in the number of characters you'll have available if you don't re-subscribe with them, but the characters themselves won't be deleted. A Premium account starts with two free character slots (total, not per server) and also gets a number of extra character slots equal to the number of bonus slots (beyond the standard 12 per server for a subscriber) that you have earned or purchased, to be used on any server or combination of servers (except the VIP server) as you see fit, up to the maximum per server. Any characters that you don't have enough slots to unlock will remain there, greyed out, until you either re-subscribe or purchase more character slots and unlock them again.

Q. Through the new reward system will we be able to get some of the old stuff you can’t get anymore such as the old CoH deluxe pack with the VIP badge, power slide and the Cape of the 4 winds?

A. The “perks” from the COH DVD Collector’s Edition and the City of Villains Collector’s Edition are currently exclusive to those boxed editions. We have no plans to give these out through the Paragon Rewards Program, nor through the Paragon Market at this time.
This explains the jump in auction price tonight....

For those asking about Reward Tokens and multimonth subscriptions: As of now, the current plan is for you to receive all of your TOKENS up front however your PARAGON POINTS will be doled out each month on your billing cycle.

Should this change we'll let you know.

Ahhhhhh, thanks for the clarification. The earlier announcement made it sound like we'd be getting BOTH up front.

Now, if one has a multi-month subscription BEFORE CoH Freedom launches, will they get all their Reward Tokens at launch, or will they come per-month until their next subscription period starts?

Thank god for that

And thanks for addressing that concern, I'll pass the word around

Appreciate the clarification, Z! I hope there will be some reconsideration about Paragon Points -- given this plan, I as a VIP would actually be penalized for being so loyal and get no point alottment until 2013, likely about 16 months after freedom goes live / ' :

Perhaps, you could discuss a one-time upfront payment when Freedom goes live and then dole out paragon points at each billing cycle thereafter?

Billing Cycle, in this case, means the day each month that you would be charged if you paid only 1 month at a time, *not* the day every 3/6/12 months when you actually get hit up for the money.

Tex, "billing cycle" means the day of the month that your subscription starts/ends. Even if you do a multi-month subscription, the money you give them goes into a pool that gets pulled from automatically every month on that day.

So you'll still get your points every month on the day that you would currently be awarded Vet Rewards (only, every month instead of every 3 months).

I was more worried about them getting auto-kicked from the SGs, and the Prestige totals suddenly going into negatives.

"Billing Cycle" is the time between getting bills, that's universal in business. Otherwise, I'm very much hoping you two are correct in your assertion of when the point allowance is disbursed, I just wouldn't assume it....never assume ( ' ;

There was a redname post to the effect a couple weeks ago, you'll be fine. I'll see if I can dig it up for you real quick.

Edit: Can't find it, too much communication to sift through since Freedom was announced. While the level of communication is, of course, amazingly awesome, it does make it hard to pinpoint specific posts.

I appreciate you checking. I was following the Freedom announcement thread for a while, but it did get overwhelming at one point, yeah. ( ' :

Was this the one you were thinking of?

Technically everyone has an active billing date. It's simply the calendar date in the month that your subscription would renew.

For example: Your 12 month sub renews every April 14th. Your billing date is the 14th of the month.

This was actually my question on the Facebook status, but it unfortunately went unanswered . Hopefully Zwilly can get back to us on it soon.

@Draeth Darkstar
Virtue [Heroes, Roleplay], Freedom [Villains], Exalted [All Sides, Roleplay]
Code:
I24 Proc Chance = (Enhanced Recharge + Activation Time) * (Current PPM * 1.25) / 60*(1 + .75*(.15*Radius - 0.011*Radius*(360-Arc)/30))
Single Target Radius = 0. AoE Non-Cone Arc = 360.

I don't suppose dollars spent now will earn me extra loyalty reward tokens?

I really want to buy a rename and two more slots. I know patience is a virtue and all, but come on Paragon, take my money now before I go spend it all at the Borders closeout sale.

Afraid not. Only dollars spent on Paragon Points, which cannot be purchased until CoH Freedom launches, will count towards Reward Tokens.

Nice try, though.

Okay, let me get this straight in my head... You don't believe forum posters with reputations that they can be trusted to provide accurate information. The same posters backing up their statements with multiple official references. Yet you expect people to listen to you? The amount of chutzpah (and not in a good way) in your post is astounding.

My favorite is not believing Positron - while he is no longer Lead Developer, he is still one of the games leading developers.
