Not sure about this... I loved Batman's outfit in AA because it looked like armour, but kept the look of his comic outfit. This doesn't look much like robin to me. Looks like he has a hood there, too. Also not crazy about the face/ head.
There was a line or two in AA that made it sound like it was still early in Batman's career (despite Babs already being Oracle). That they're on Tim already, with him looking about 19 or 20 years old seems a bit odd to me.

We should have a little bit of leeway. There is an actual comic miniseries that sets it up, after all. 
As for the look... I'll need to see it in color (and possibly in motion) first, but I think it's okay. Seems to be a curious mix of Tim and Damien, though the buzzcut is a bit of a surprise.
Do we know yet if this is supposed to be for something sort of like the Catwoman "levels" that you can switch to at points, or purely for the challenge mode-type stuff?

I got excited and was fixing to call and transfer a pre-order from one game to this tomorrow through Game-Stop... then I reread the quoted part... Best Buy only...

If it ends up just being a black/grey suit with a red R on it, I'll be less interested in it. Robin needs more colour than that, IMO.

Looks pretty awesome to me, I'm sure it will look better once we see how the colors work.
Always glad to see the older version of Robin used in the more serious/adult versions of Batman, never been a fan of Bats bringing 8 year olds with him to fight psychopathic serial killers.
