Discussion: Keep Galaxy City Clean!
I'd like to echo the sentiment expressed early on about Galaxy Girl. Her story has always been one of my absolute favorite pieces of CoX lore from the very beginning, and more than one of my characters has been inspired to take up being a hero by Galaxy Girl's selfless actions. I'd love to see more of a game spotlight directed to her and her backstory. Really, she deserves it.

the only bad thing is if it is a event and only avail to hero side, and people who only play vills and not rogues will be a bit left out.

destruction of Galaxy city by meteorites resulting in a bruning wasteland co-op zone with secret praetorian bases underground and bands of roaming Shivan up top?
On the anagrams, the only thing I get is ad hurtling, and basically this was an ad about a hurtling meteor...
Meh, there's garbage all over the Rogue Isles. You don't see us (Villains) complaining! Suck it up, capes!
1. This is just a stunt to justify in-game role-play-wise why Galaxy City will be one of the low level zones getting a touch-up in I21 as mentioned in the Producer's Letter.
2. This is another mod-run in-game event of incursion of Shivans using a 'clean Galaxy protest' as the reason to gather folks together to throw something at them.
3. Both 1. and 2.

Am I the only one who saw the point of this as teasing us with the meteor shower news, rather than anything to do with the Galaxy City litter?
We already know the Shivans are supposed to be the vanguard of the coming storm and another shower would signify the storm is upon us.
The Coming Storm! It's a Storm. And it's coming!
On a side note, this torn newspaper is obviously what was on the other side of the magical whiteboard.

I wanted to add that, if the zone is altered in the near future, you all might want to get your screenshots now or even make some "Remember When" videos before things change forever (if they change).

All you nefarious types complaining that the Devs Hate Heroes....
what you should be saying is that Devs Love Villains. Something is attacking a heroic zone, leaving the Rogue Isles untouched. Perhaps we should be suspecting a mad scientist or two. Anyone seen Dr Aeon lately?

I'm really surprised given the usual engine of speculation that is the forums that apparently no one has just drawn the direct connection yet.

I agree with the sentiment in either case, that this could very well be the preliminary stages of The Coming Storm. I doubt we'll see that in full-fledged glory until the Praetoria story-line is over and done with... UNLESS they plan on putting that on pause and using the Coming Storm as a vehicle to release the next wave of Incarnate content...
