I like the irony that people consider the trials not worth their precious time but yet are content wasting their time writing what is essentially NC Soft Marketing Team fan fiction about it.

I usually laugh and smile all the way through one of Steel's infamous posts. This one however had a vague sense of being so accurate I just couldn't find it amusing...

Also, five to ten minutes writing a comedy post isn't comparable to an hour running a trial.
So this is like Disaster Movie uncomedy comedy, right?
Just because he said "INCARNATE CONTENT IS A GRINDFEST," it's hilarious?
I guess because he said something that vaguely supports some of your views against content, this is like George Carlin's ghost has written his take on issue 20.
To me, it just seems like a bunch of vague fake facts ("The population is fading!") mixed with things we all knew ("People are less likely to quit friends and groups") mixed with one outright lie ("Research has shown people hate content tied to groups").
This is the black hole of comedy unless you are wearing the same uniform of dissent as every other one of the 2-3 dozen people who hate raids. It reminds me of when Fox News attempted to do their own Daily Show and their only joke was "Hey, liberals are all hippies!"
Oh man, that must have been hilarious satire if you let your beliefs numb your sense of humor to the point of being vestigial. And this thread harkens back to that.

After all, *I* can be a miserable sod at times. I can recognize it. And that definitely looks like someone being one.
Taser, we've talked (and played together) in game. You're normally much more fun than that. Have the Shadows planted a Keeper on you? You're on pinnacle, you know how to counter that! Drink, man, drink! Reclaim yourself!
(And really, I lean more towards Silver's post.)
Because we didn't have enough posts griping about the Incarnate system yet.
Seriously, people need to realize that Incarnate Trials are not the be-all, end-all of the whole game. Yes, the trials can feel like a grind, that's why you don't burn yourself out by doing 50+ trials in a single day. Your character is not going to suddenly become gimped because you aren't using incarnate abilities. It's still the same character you had before incarnates. You don't need to get Very Rares "RIGHT NAO OMG!!!!1!!1!eleven!!!"
Though I will agree with the bad writing part. I liked it better when the Well was just this magical fountain-thing with cool powers. Now it's like... "It's sentient... and insane! It's gone mad! Go stop it and it will give you stuff!!" It's kind of ridiculous.
Sorry Steelclaw, I usually enjoy your posts, but there's just been so much griping and complaining about the Incarnate system now it's starting to get old.

My pet peeve is people who refuse to acknowledge it when I tell them my character has unlimited power. If I rp attack them they are of course disintegrated beyond the ability of any hospital or magic to restore. Of course, you could also view it as making fun of the people who have these lampooned views of marketing and development. As a bleeding-heart liberal, sometimes I'll say, for example, something about our "agenda" of taxing rich people into poverty and giving it all to welfare recipients, or converting everyone to homosexual atheist environmentalists, or the like. I figure that nothing I will say will change die-hard conservatives' opinions of my beliefs no matter how rationally I explain and justify them, so instead, I just play up how stupid their caricatures of my beliefs are. Unfortunately, in such arguments, as may be the case here, more often than not people miss the point.
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.

The humor in the OP is based upon the premises that 1) the developers and marketing people don't care about us and only marginally care about the game 2) most people hate the trials, and 3) that the way it is will be set in stone forever, never to change. All of these are outright false, so it just doesn't really strike me as laugh-out-loud funny as it apparently does others who must think these premises are true.

What was posted here has been said in countless other threads started by the same people responding with LOL SO FUNNY. Except I guess this is funny instead of just forum ranting because it's in the form of a play?
In order for this to be funny, there would have to be some kind of punchline here and there. The one Eiko-chan quoted doesn't cut it because, like all things in live, we differ in tastes apparently.
What the OP essentially did is throw together a bunch of conspiracy theories together and call it a day. And since a lot of people here seem to believe those conspiracy theories, they thought it was HILARIOUS. The Original Post makes the incarnate system seem like something thrown together at the last minute out of desperation instead of being something promised to us for over 5 years and in develop for almost as long. The original post also continues the trend of these anti-raid theories by making his preferred play style the assumed play style of the entire community.
That is shortsighted and ignores the 7 years of posts on this forum about how this game needs an end game and could use raids. Or the 7 years of people who quit and, upon the exiting survey, said they'd like a raiding system and an end game other than Hamidon. Or the 7 years of content that still exists for solo players with a whole system in place to make an infinite amount of new content at the drop of a hat.
But I guess since it's written as a play, we're forced to ignore reality and play by the vocal minorities beliefs here, right? That raids were forced upon the devs at the last minute because of declining sales and that there will never ever be any more solo content again ever because teaming makes people subscribe longer. And also that 9/11 was an inside job and the Illuminati created Lady Gaga as a government brainwashing tool for teenagers.
