Still Sexism in costume choices? Really?
Bah you Americans!
It's the British comedian Eddie Izzard.
Very funny comedian thank you very much.

A real showstopper!
I'll take your word on it. He still looks like he's trying to pass himself off as an ugly woman
I guess it's the comment that "You can see he is not TRYING to pass as a woman." -- No, I can't see that and don't have any contextual clues to suggest otherwise. He has a short haircut worn by some women, clean shaven, is in women's clothing and wearing make-up. I'll believe you when you say he's not trying to look like a woman but he still does look like he's trying to pass as a woman. I'm not sure what else he could do to look MORE like he's trying to pass as a woman except maybe waiting in line outside a women's restroom while holding a box of tampons or something.

as per the high number of "fanserivce" bits for females, not a disputed opinion, though considering the source material, cant exactly say it is untrue to it. heck, most of the steampunk outfit can be used to recreate the pic dave put up before of the "lady mechanica" comic, so its not as though it is significantly more revealing than most mainstream comics. and shall we get into anime and manga's outfits?
I wonder what it'd be like to undress a guy wearing a dress?

There are only 2 types of clothing choices for the lower body in like all of history - stuff with legs or stuff without legs

There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"
Take a tunic, kilt, or toga and put it on a woman.
Oh, look, it's a dress/skirt. |
A toga is one piece of long cloth that you wrap around yourself. It's not even remotely dress-like.

Och rosor i ett sprucket krus

We've most certainly conveyed feedback received about equity in costume piece choices. What was communicated to me is that many of the pieces that are gender specific are usually done in that manner so as to allow for greater variety in character design options, in addition to accounting for production time, value and scope. (plainly said, more costume pieces mean more time in development which means less packs less frequently. Even if it's the same costume piece, it's and entirely "new" piece if we port it to different body types i.e.; male, female, huge). That being said, our character artists, such as Cheryl, are hearing requests for items such as more coat options for females and the like and will certainly take that into account with future new costume options.
We are committed to providing you all with a diverse range of costume design options, regardless of your body type or gender . |
Always remember, we were Heroes.
If the game spit out 20 dollar bills people would complain that they weren't sequentially numbered. If they were sequentially numbered people would complain that they weren't random enough.
Black Pebble is my new hero.
Here is a lovely man in a dress. He is not gay, and he is not female.
Here he is again. You can see he is not TRYING to pass as a woman. He is not a drag queen. He is a man in a dress.
Here he is, not in a dress.
Dresses are just clothing. I'm a woman and I choose not to wear them. Eddie is a man and he chooses to wear them. He should have that right as much as I do. And he is far from alone, but any example busts an absolute - especially a totally bigoted one.
Also - you needn't be transgender to be a biological man wearing a dress. You needn't want to be a woman, or trying to pass as a woman. I went to school with an absolutely scrumptious young man who wore a black floor-length broomstick skirt to class every day. He was very straight, and did not want to be a woman. What he wanted was to wear a skirt.
