Not true. Only the jacket sleeves that Jay made with the I13 Day Jobs pack do this. The older jacket sleeves keep the arm underneath, which you can see via clipping or stealth powers. Furthermore, Shirts have sleeves that apply over the arm, rather than instead of it. It's a choice that the artists made, rather than a costume editor limitation.

I knew about the shirts, and in fact mentioned it in my post. I did not know about the arms-visible-in-stealth thing though.

Less a BUG and more of a Feedback on the Steam Jump.

The sound FX on this power are ... kinda meh.

My main complaint is that the sound (currently) when you toggle on Steam Jump is REALLY LOUD, and it is REALLY LOUD in a very constant way. In fact, the baseline LOUD SOUND makes it difficult to hear any other sounds pertaining to the power ... such as the puffs of steam when you actually "jump" using the power. This results in an unsatisfactorily constant sound at a constant volume, even when actively repeat hitting/releasing your bound key to "jump" with.

My expectation was that there would be a quieter "ambient" sound when Steam Jump is toggled on, but the character is not jumping (up) ... and a louder "active" sound when the character IS jumping (up).

To be clear ... I'm not saying that the sound FX being used on this power at release are "bad" sounds at all. Instead, I'm merely pointing out that the volume levels assigned to the respective sounds seem out of whack ... if not reversed from what they should be (idle volume is too loud, active use volume is too quiet).

It's the end. But the moment has been prepared for ...

There used to be a LOOOT of clipping between jackets and the undershirt underneath them. On the Family, too. You'd see it at the elbows, in the armpits, on the shoulders and so forth. They did change transparency thereafter, though, so you can't see through jackets any more But the upper arms are... Or were still there.

:/ I normally solo and check the tailor on Recommended settings, and couldn't tell any real difference between old and new faces. I'll check again on Ultra, but I'm not sure the new face tech is worth it.

There needs to be a poll on how good people's computers are that play CoH. How many play full Ultra all the time, etc.

My pet peeve is people who refuse to acknowledge it when I tell them my character has unlimited power. If I rp attack them they are of course disintegrated beyond the ability of any hospital or magic to restore. Yet despite this they refuse to delete their characters and still keep playing them as if nothing happened. ~Mandu, 07-16-2010

Was the Retro jacket added when they added the dayjob costume options? I thought it was in the game before that. I ask because if you look closely, you can see that the arms are most definitely not there underneath the sleeves. The sleeves have that little cut into them that you can see through, and it's jarring to see no geometry underneath it at all.

Is anyone else currently unable to access the Classic Steampunk 01 and Victorian Steampunk 01 Chest Details, or am I just "lucky"?

I found out that the new steampunk jackets don't allow sleeveless. And the Sleeved jackets can't use Resistance shoulder pieces. So my costume, that I thought was pretty steampunk, isn't possible with the pack the way it stands. Hopefully we'll ether get the SP jackets with sleeveless options, or we'll be able to use that shoulder piece with jackets that have sleeves.

Perhaps both, which of course, would be ideal.

The Retro jacket sleeves are old, yes, and I saw what you mean - no arms underneath. However, this appears to have been a change done at some point along the way, because it wasn't always like this. We actually had an entire thread talking about clipping issues between things like a white undershirt and dark sleeves, until I think the developers just took the smart option and removed the upper arms from the jacket sleeves since you couldn't see them anyway. At the time when this must have been done, we had no short sleeves on the Jackets torso, however, and this seems to have carried over to the Day Jobs jackets.

I can easily see not having an arm under a full sleeve - there's no point and it just causes more clipping. I cannot see not having an upper arm under a short sleeve since you get to see your upper arm bright as day, and it's always skin. This needs to change, but it's probably something for David's All Things Art thread, instead.

Not sure if it's already on the cards to be fixed, or if it's already been mentioned elsewhere, but one thing that bothers me about a couple of the Victorian pieces for females is that the shader seems to be different in the outside world compared to the costume creator.

Don't have screenshots but it's easy to replicate by making a female character with all the Victorian pieces and changing all colours to white. It'll look fine in the costume creator but when you get outside the skirt will appear dark grey, and the jacket will be a slightly lighter grey.

This is all assuming it's a bug/oversight with the costume pieces and not a problem with my video card. I'm ok with it being not quite pure white if that's the intention, but it would be nice if the entire set at least matched colours/tones/shades with itself.

Yeah, the steampunk boots are killing me. Just made a really cool character who's both dark gold and dark blue. Everything seemed fine until I loaded the character in game where the boots turn out bright bright yellow. Neon yellow as mentioned by a previous poster. I've had to adjust all my colors to match the boots and the new toon now looks like crap. Fix this where we can change the secondary color please. You can do it on the gloves, why not the boots?

I cant seem to find the bustier in the chest area when I put on the Victorian Jackets for the female set and they arent even in the tops with skin either.

Are you looking under Chest Details?

There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"

The ad at the CoX store lists "spats" as one of the new boot options. I have searched and searched male and female body types for spats for use with pants, tucked in, tights, --you name it-- and can't find them anywhere. Am I just missing them, or are they bound to another costume option like the ascot?

It sure would be nice if the costume editor could have some structured lists so we could find the options associated with a particular pack. Or if that's just too much trouble, then some sort of documentation with a picture of each part and where to find it. This hunting around for paid-for pack parts is really frustrating!

Noticed on my character with the female thigh-high steampunk boots, when walking/flying/hovering/running, slin clips just behind the knees. She uses the mini-skirt, bikini 1 bottom, and the boots. With her white skin it's very noticable. Will try and snag a screenshot tonight.

Yes, and I would know one when I saw one too.

My only bug with the Steampunk pack is that I can't wear the bustier while in SG/VG mode. If I try, I lose the corset and am left in my bra (Eden, pushup variety) while running around Paragon.

Un-check the Show Super group symbol and your Corset should stay.

Why isn't there a full costume option like with the other outfits? Seems that with the last two packs I can't make a whole Victorian/Classic Steam punk default toon or a whole (for one example) hawk toon (especially since the bird toons didn't come with wings, which means I have to get the mac booster pack on this account too if I want a bird toon).

Like with the ninja pack I can make a whole default ninja toon. With the cyborg and magic pack I can make a whole cyborg/robot toon and a witch toon. Why do we have to dig through the pieces to create such a toon. That a pain. I'd rather use the default settings and take away what I do not want.

THIS TOON IS NOW A HERO!

Thanks! That worked and I no longer have to prance around in my bra!

You said you were using Eden. That's more like pasties than a bra.

I'm not sure if this has been identified yet, but I just found something.

There seems to be some clipping going on with the "Victorian Steampunk 01" piece when not accompanied by the jacket (so when using "Tight", "Tops with Skin", "Magic Bolero" and the "Robotic Arms"). The clipping is around the... er... upper chest area.

There is no clipping when the piece is used with the "Jacket" or "Sleeveless Jacket".
