I don't suppose you guys could activate these forums for the Android Tapatalk forum app? I often read the forums on my phone and it can be a little unwieldly to go through (especially if I want to post). From what I understand, it's free for you folks to implement and they say it'll only take 10 minutes (according to their website http://www.tapatalk.com/plugin.php). I'm not sure what version of vBulletin you have but it supports versions 3.6.x/3.7.x/3.8.x/4.x.
My suggestion is to make it so. -
I'm not sure if this has been identified yet, but I just found something.
There seems to be some clipping going on with the "Victorian Steampunk 01" piece when not accompanied by the jacket (so when using "Tight", "Tops with Skin", "Magic Bolero" and the "Robotic Arms"). The clipping is around the... er... upper chest area.
There is no clipping when the piece is used with the "Jacket" or "Sleeveless Jacket". -
As the new zone is accessible from Praetoria, will there be loyalist and resistance storylines or just the same missions as the primals get? If there are praetorian storylines, does that mean the level 20 exit mish is gone/moved? Also, since there is access for both primals and praets, will it allow access to the opposite word (primals to praetoria, praetorians to paragon/rogue) instead of having to use pocket d or go through the exit praet portal mish?

I don't see why not. Dark Blast is getting a single target hold (Abyssal Gaze or something like that). Soul storm is also ST hold. It's also getting a modified Night Fall (maybe with KB, maybe a wider cone). Night Fall is in Soul Mastery. There's two powers from each set that are about as similar across sets as TT is to ST. Why not make it a hat trick?

As far as I'm aware, Blaster Dark Blast hasn't even hit beta yet, and I highly doubt the devs are going to tell us exactly how the set is going to be set up before it's even beta tested.
For example: Since I was in Going Rogue closed beta, I happen to know that Electric Control originally had a combination stun/damage aura that was later deemed to be too powerful and removed. Can you imagine the outcry if they had said to the players as a whole "Electric Control will definitely have a stun/damage aura" prior to having decided that it was too powerful to be left in the set, and then the set went live without the power they promised would be there?
That's why the devs NEVER tell us that something is 100% sure to happen with a power set when they first announce it. I am quite sure Dark Blast for Blasters will be tweaked several times before it goes live, so I'm not taking what they've told us about it so far as gospel truth.
If anything, they seemed to be hedging their bets with the dark manipulation, what with them saying it could contain powers from just about every Dark set out there (although they did mention the melee and dark pit)
But you're right. It's still not in beta and they weren't explicit in listing all powers in it, so it's very possible my expectations are off.

For one thing, there was no mention of it being removed.
Second, Dark Blast is specifically mentioned as being "a fun control centric blast set for Blasters." and since we already know it's losing Dark Pit, if it ALSO loses TT then the -only- control it'd have is a single target hold and the Nightfall/Torrent mashup. Two powers does not a "control centric" set make.
Finally (and semi-non-seriously), screw Soul Tentacles and it's skinny-*** cone. (And while we're at it, screw Nightfall and it's even skinnier cone.) -
This (although I don't necessarily need "tons"). I'm ok with having a KB power in the set. Just don't make it "chance of" as I'd prefer the predictability of 100% KB.

We chose Dark Blast as it would be a fun control centric blast set for Blasters. The power set was changed slightly to make it a better fit for Blasters. Dark Pit was removed, Torrent and Nightfall were merged into a single power: Umbral Torrent, and then Aim and a new power Abyssal Gaze (a single target hold with a DoT component) were added to round out the set.
Darkness Manipulation made a lot of sense as it was fairly low hanging fruit and would be a perfect pairing for Dark Blast. The set is made up of powers that are found in Dark Armor, Defender Dark Blast and Dark Miasma. The set can deliver crushing melee damage as well as provide a measure of crowd control and self buffs.
Still... I'm happy. -
Hmm. I just had a thought. Since we're manipulating time, effectively being exposed to time travel and all... do we or allies or foes affected by our powers automatically get access to the Ouroboros portal?

Time Manipulation will, most likely, include the following:
- An aura that decreases the fps/increases the lag of enemies and increases fps/decrease lag of allies. This may end up being two separate powers.
- At random times, no matter what you happen to be doing at the time (AFK, changing your outfit at the tailor, respeccing, in the middle of a Trial with a wicked great team that desperately needs you), you will teleport away into a combat in some random location against some random enemies where you fight alongside a clone of yourself. Enemy level will also be random, but at least your clone will be near the level of the enemy (-4 to +1). This is the side-effect to...
- The ability to summon yourself (a clone) from somewhen else on the time-line. It's a crap shoot. Sometimes a level 1, a level 50+, or somewhere in between. Unfortunately, there is a random chance the clone will be afk, or in the middle of changing outfits, etc.
- The power to... "Stop! Hammer time!"
- The ability to never fail a timed mission, even if you're afk for hours or have logged off for days.

Is there a way to turn off the constant hum that occurs when cloaking device is on, or am I just going to have to grin and bear it while my ears bleed?

Specifically, when does Dr. Steffard go away? I had thought I had outleveled the IC Warden Arc after Luke didn't introduce him. I went and looked for him and he was gone (for me). I guess it happened some time when I was a Loyalist or during the Crusader arc? And I suppose it means that I'm now locked out of the Imperal City Warden arc? I was hoping to try and do all the arcs on the one character.

Edit: Whoops, Never mind. The link to the plots with spoilers (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=235373) works now and spells it out for me. He goes away in the Responsability arc. Dang. That's a little annoying. How do I get the Seer's moral choice mission, or even her souvenier then? Or is it lost forever? -
Hi all,
I've got a concept and figured out the power sets I'd like the hero/vigilante to have (dark melee and fire armor), I just can't decide between taking a tank or a brute.
I've searched the forums and have found some lively discussions re brute vs. scrapper vs. tanker that only served to increase my indecision. I figured maybe I could get better advice if I ask for myself regarding the specific power set combo I was interested in, especially in light of the new GR changes (tanker bruisng, FA changes, lower brute damage cap, etc.).
If it helps in the thought process, I plan on making him a Praetorian. I'm also pretty new to the game (played for a month or two many years ago and came back a month or so ago; highest toons are a new 20 dark/dark corruptor and an old but recently 20 DM/Regen scrapper. I also have a Rad/DP defender and an elec/elec blaster in their teens. Everything else is lower)
