Proliferation requests

There was one hint at the possibility of power proliferation coming in the future, and I was just curious if you could list what the fans are looking for.

Mine:

Corruptors: Poison
Defenders: Fire Blast
Blasters: Dark Blast or Radiation Manipulation (new)
Controllers: Traps
Tankers: Energy Aura
Scrappers: Ice Armor + Ice Melee or Ninjitsu
Stalkers: Ice Armor + Ice Melee
Brutes: Broadsword
Dominators: Illusion Control
Masterminds: Sonic Resonance (I doubt we could ever get Kinetics, unless the new changes coming for issue 20.5 is for that reason.)

I want Energy Aura on Tankers (along with Broadsword) too... but then again, a Tanker slapped my mother in front of me when I was just a child.

I very much want Energy Melee/Energy Aura ported to Scrappers, though.

I'd also like to run a Plant Control/Poison Controller in as near a future as possible. It just sounds thematic and awesome.

Not happening. They already tried this and decided to get rid of the option. Ice Armor/Ice Melee is the anti-fury combo and it makes the brute too weak.

Fury is different now though.

Why did you list a new powerset (Rad manipulation) in a post about proliferation? I don't understand.

See, I was making a joke based on the fact that Energy Aura is a sub-par defense set thus giving it to Tankers would effectively be an insult...

I find jokes are actually funnier if you explain them.

Anyway, no the stealth power would not need to change, Tanks still get Cloak of Darkness with Dark Armor.

Maybe he/she's hoping that they buff it when they give it to tankers, like they did Electric.

For my picks:

Dark Blast and Dark Manipulation for Blasters (there are enough dark powers to fill most of the set, and they could fill the gaps with new ones like they did for Mental)

Ice Melee and Ice Armor for Brutes (The fury thing is a non-issue really. Brutes have Dark Armor which has two auras that completely shut down incoming attacks, so pointing at Ice's -Recharge doesn't hold up.)

Traps and Dark Miasma for Controllers (Dark will probably need a look over beforehand, but Controllers already have control heavy secondaries (/TA, /Storm) so with a bit of balancing [drop Fearsome Stare to Mag2, increase recharge to 60-90sec] so, in the words of the fabulous Mr Gunn, Make it Work.)

Poison and Psychic Blast (defender version) for Corruptors (Change Noxious Gas to be Ally targeted instead of pet targeted. Across the board.)

Thermal Radiation and Fire Blast for Defenders. (Sure fire doesn't have a debuffing secondary effect, but neither does Archery or Assault Rifle(for the most part).)

Illusion and Dark Assault for Dominators (Dark Assault pieces together easy enough. Illusion...... hell I still don't think it'll be that good on a Dom, but have at it.)

Cold Domination and Sonic Resonance for Masterminds (They already have Thermal and Forcefield, buffs are good.)

Ice Melee and Ice Armor for Scrappers (May as well share the love.)

Ice Melee and Ice Armor for Stalkers (Running out of matched pairings, so w/e. Ice for all.)

Energy Aura and Martial Arts for Tankers (EA is about all that's left, and MA, well, just cause I like MA.)

I want Radiation Assault for Dominators. (The melee attacks could be lifted from the Shivan power lists and the other powers are just Tiers 1-7 Radiation Blast). Just make sure Neutrino Bolt is fast recharging, and I'm good.

Yeah, I've been around a little while, and that includes seeing the buff to the set, and my recent stalker testing hasn't shown me why the set gets so much hate yet.

The difference in your comparison, is that dark armor gets a damage aura. Energy Aura has no aggro aura at all, unless I missed something.

You didn't - the only power in the set with a taunt is Energy Drain - the Heal/End recovery power.

Nah. Energy Cloak would need replaced with a taunt aura for tankers no matter what.

Something akin to Invincibility or Brute Evasion would work. By that I mean a taunt aura that provides defense (to replace that lost by removing EC), not a copy/paste of that actual powers.

I would like Energy Aura for tankers because I have a concept for a toon and it doesn't really work with any other Armour Set. I've never really been bothered whether it would be subpar or not, as long as its fun.

Plus if anything was changed in the port to tankers it will be Conserve Power as Tankers get it in their Energy Mastery APP. If I were the devs that would be changed into an agro aura and bought to the beginning of the set.

Thugs/Sonic MM...Sounds fun...Well, if they fix the AI. The toggle -resist on the bruiser, the toggle knockback on one of the minions (arsonist? XD), more resists, focuses resist debuffs...Just sounds fun.

That disruption power sucks end like mad, but yeah it does sound sweet, now that the shields only need to be clicked once.

Anything new secondary for blasters .. port over dom's stone assault or thorns. some kinda dark control/assault , spit balls , badmanners assault i
will take anything new as a blaster secondary cuz it don't look like i will ever get a martial arts blaster secondary for blasters

Well aware it does, but I would be more than willing to slot around it just for the fun I would get from it.

Ok with the servers going down I decided to have a look through all the possible proliferation options there are. I think I got them all. Personally I would like to see them all and have done a little note next to each with potential problems:

Blaster
• Earth Manipulation – based on Earth Assault for dominators. Melee attacks, Mud Pots, Power Boost etc
• Martial Arts/Body Manipulation – the much asked for set! I see it as a Martial Arts and Energy Manipulation clone
• Thorn Manipulation – based on Thorny Assault. Problem is no blast equivalent to proliferate
• Dark Blast – as per Corruptor/Defender. Although some argue there should be a build up power there. EDIT - thanks for Claws for pointing out that Night Fall and Soul Tenticles (aka Tenebrous Tenticles) will be need to be replaced as they are in Soul Mastery
• Dark Manipulation – A possible hybrid of Dark Melee attacks, Dark Armour Damage Aura and Dark Miasma controls?
• Earth Blast – most difficult IMO as no equivalent. Stone Spears, Hurl Bolder, Build Up, Propel Rocks (as per Legacy Chain), an AoE version of Stone Spears (same animation as Stalagmites?)

Corruptor
• Force Field – unsure why they don’t have this apart from the no debuffs argument
• Poison – will need a substitute for the target pet power, maybe make it target ally?
• Psychic Blast – unsure whether it will be based on the Defender or Blaster set
• Empathy – Pain Dom was meant to be it equivalent, however with GR there can be ‘bad’ empaths

Defender
• Thermal Radiation – see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Fire Blast – see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Poison – as per corruptor
• Pain Domination – as per Empathy for corruptors but reversed

Dominator
• Dark Assault – based on Dark Blast and Dark Melee with the damage aura from Dark Armour thrown in?
• Dark Control – possibly difficult to do due to the which powers from Dark Miasma are included and if new powers need adding
• Illusion Control – lots of arguments for and against this. Phantom Army and Spectral Terror could need balancing so not to overpowered?
• Body Assault – Martial Arts with Shurikens?

Controller
• Dark Miasma – as per Dark Control for Dominators and balancing Dark Servant (give it MM recharge time?)
• Dark Control – as per Dark Control for Dominators
• Poison – as per Poison for Corruptors
• Traps – it has been argued it may be overpowered? Balance with recharge times?
• Pain Domination – As per Empathy for Corruptors but reversed

Scrapper
• Battle Axe - see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Energy Melee - see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Stone Melee - see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Super Strength – Rage possibly overpowered?
• War Mace - see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Ice Melee - see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Energy Aura – will need substitute for Conserve Power as AT has it in their APP
• Stone Armour – Would Rooted and Granite make the Scrapper to slow? However, Brutes do get it
• Ninjitsu – would need to replace Hide
• Ice Armour- will need a substitute for Hibernate as AT has it in their PPP

Brutes
• Broadsword – possibly need to adjust Parry so it isn’t as easy to maintain softcap? Longer recharge and shorter duration perhaps?
• Katana – same as Broadsword except with Divine Avalanche
• Martial Arts - see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Spines – possible arguments re: fury generation due to –recharge, however AT already has Stone Melee/War Mace (stuns) and Dark Armour (stuns) so shouldn’t be a problem
• Ice Melee – as per Spines
• Regeneration – no experience of the set so no idea how it would work
• Ninjitsu – as per Spines (due to placate and confuse effects). Possibly replace Smoke Flash? Also need to replace Hide
• Ice Armour- as per Spines

Tanker
• Broadsword – as per Brutes
• Katana – as per Brutes
• Matial Arts - see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Spines - see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Claws - see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Regeneration – no experience of the set so no idea how it would work
• Ninjitsu – possibly need to replace Smoke Flash as counter intuitive to Tanking? Also will need to replace Hide
• Energy Aura - will need substitute for Conserve Power as AT has it in their APP, possibly agro aura?
• Super Reflexes – no experience of the set however Brutes get it - EDIT: thanks to Computer for letting me know that Brutes evasion has a taunt aspect

Stalker
• Battle Axe - see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Fiery Melee - see no reason why it hasn’t been, would get Scrapper/Brute version not Tankers. EDIT - as Leo G helped me remember, Electric Melee is AoE centric so Fiery Melee could be to (drop Combustion, keep Fire Sword Circle and Breath of Fire)
• Ice Melee - see no reason why it hasn’t been
• War Mace - see no reason why it hasn’t been
• Super Strength - see no reason why it hasn’t been, although have a hard time imagining a concept of a Super Strength Stalker (but that’s just me!)
• Fiery Aura – lots of previous comments on how do you hide a Fireball, but have read arguments about being shrouded in smoke. Replace Blazing Aura for hide?
• Ice Armour - see no reason why it hasn’t been, Chilling Embrace to suppress when hidden. Replace Icicles for hide. Will need a substitute for Hibernate as it is available in PPP
• Shield Defence – wasn’t given to Stalkers originally due to ally centric nature of set (Grant Cover, Phalanx Fighting), however Stalkers get critical bonus out of hide due to nearby teammates so don’t feel this should be an issue. Grant Cover, Phalanx Fighting, AAO all suppress while hidden? Replace True Grit for hidden?
• Stone Armour - see no reason why it hasn’t been. Replace Mud Pots with Hide? Make Granite and Hide mutually exclusive?

Mastermind
• Cold Domination - see no reason why it hasn’t been, possibly overpowered?
• Kinetics – possibly overpowered?
• Empathy – as per Empathy for Corruptors
• Radiation Emission – possibly overpowered?
• Sonic Resonance - see no reason why it hasn’t been
