I want those gloves as costume parts.

Changing it to english required changing some setting in the computers registry as I recall.
Yay! You know own a very very very limited stand-alone version of the costume creator!

I've got that somewhere, and converted it to English. But it's not on my current system and I don't remember how I did the conversion. I think it involved stone knives and bearskins.

They really need to make a mass-marketed, English version of, that program. I thought it was neat then, and I think it's neat now.
I've swayed players to the game just introducing them to the character creator on my acct. Imagine how many folks would be drawn to the game after toying with the offline character creator?
Never did figure out how to make an English version, though I'm not that tech-savvy...

In HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Cryptic there should be a new branch called KRCOH, under that change the locale value to 1.
Then RMC the KRCOH key and select "Permissions..." then "Advanced".
Uncheck the " Include inheritable permissions from this object's parent" box and make the only user "Everyone" and only give them "Read control".

Actually, doing a new version with booster pack items included but clearly labeled would work for both new customers and existing ones. New users get a taste of the robust creator, existing customers get a taste of booster packs they haven't purchased before committing.
That is awesome! I'd love to be able to create chars offline (always have since day 1). And you guys have some really good ideas on how they can expand on that! It would be win/win!

I think i still have all the info to change the language to English, but all of the parts are out of date.
I was never able to figure out how to update the parts. Anyway, I'll look through my PM's and see what I have.

Hmm, I actually have a well written and illustrated Word Doc that shows exactly how to force it to run in English, I'd be happy to Email it to anyone who PMd me.
Or point me to a place to upload it for general consumption.

Yep, we aren't going to get a standalone other than this one, and none through official channels not even this one. Marvel complained that people could make copies of marvel characters and those copies couldn't be policed because they would be made offline.
I expect them to start suing art supply manufacturers any day now.
