Speculation: Paragon (Formerly City of Heroes 2)
Is this another April fool in may?
So Paragon Studios want to make a sequel to the highly successful City of Heroes, but it doesn't simply want to make a sequel, it wants to raise the bar by creating a whole new game that eclipses and improves on everything that they have done before. So they have decided to come up with an entirely new name for the project and drop "City of Heroes 2".
I think it will simply be called "Paragon". (You heard it here first!) If you had a choose a new name for this (hypothetical, of course) revolutionary new comic book themed game, what would you name it? |
Where exactly - specifically - has it been stated that they are working on City of Heroes 2? Where exactly, in written words, in a press release, or announcement, have they stated they are working on, creating, City of Heroes2? Please post references and examples. Thank you.

This may or may not be a case of people seeing what they want to see.

I don't think I could top that.

I have painstakingly uncovered the code name for City of Heroes 2. And yes; many Bothans died to bring us this information.
Project, "No Capes."

Metaman, express elevator! Dynaguy, snagged on takeoff! Splashdown, sucked into a vortex!
Tech Support Rule #1 - They will lie to you. Usually intentionally.
"The World of the Paragon Universe Online at War." there.
Might be a bit much to put on a box. But digital download would be fine.
EPIC
Yes, in all capital letters. If you write it as "Epic," or in a font that isn't considerably bigger than the surrounding text, you must be talking about something else. I'll leave it to everyone's imagination to try to come up with some kind of ret-conned acronym (retronym?) for which it stands.
Yes, that means that if you're e-mailing someone, you have to say things like, "I think I'm going to go home and play some EPIC tonight." If your e-mail or IM client doesn't support font manipulation, I'm sorry, but you simply cannot talk about the game. When you say the name of the game, you have to lower your voice to the lowest pitch possible. If you can sound like Don LaFontaine, score!
Oh, and if you're deaf and communicate by sign language, you can only sign the name of the game at eye level or above, and you must "throw" the letters out individually, not sign them continuously. Honestly, throwing out each letter in a "fist pump" movement would be best. If the name is written in Braille, each dot should be at least 3/4 inch in diameter.
We've been saving Paragon City for eight and a half years. It's time to do it one more time.
(If you love this game as much as I do, please read that post.)

So yeah that'd work -perfectly-
I am the Blaster, I have filled the role of Tank, Controller and Defender
Sometimes all at once.
Union EU player! Pip pip, tally ho, top hats and tea etc etc
Rampant Speculation is speculation.
So long as whatever further offering doesn't include mad holes in the ground, millions of extra dimensions and tin pot megalomaniacs I'll be happy(er)
Thelonious Monk
I don't like Paragon. It feels weird having a pre-existing studio naming a game after itself. Personally, I would like something longer than one word. It should be somewhat similar to City of Heroes, but a bit different. I think adding a 2 to an MMO is a bit strange.
If there is a sequel, I hope it is set beyond just Paragon City, so maybe the "City" part can be dropped for something more expansive (sadly "World" will be too gimmicky now).

Then we can go to Country of Heroes and Continent of Heroes.
