Please: More Purchasable Stuff
We already get these things. They are called Free Updates.
That game is 'Free' to Play (F2P). Which means ANYTHING not in the base game you have to pay for. It'd be like having to pay for access to Incarnate trials, pay for access to Cimerora, Ourobrous, pay for access to Pocket D, pay for VG armour, pay for pretty much everything.
No. Heck No.
/Unsigned. The Devs are already churning out a good ammount of high quality stuff.
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

I would also love to see more on the NCstore. How is more money to the developers and more stuff to us a bad thing?
Edit: Techbot doesn't get it. He misinterpreted your request as wanting to remove existing features as pay-to-access only. Techbot, the OP was asking for MORE stuff, not less.

The only thing I can see would be more packs that offer stuff like costumes, emotes and minor powers that are not must haves and do not make one more powerfull than another. If you want more of those, yea great no problem.
If you are asking for stuff like buying more enhancement slots or an extra attack not normally in your AT then no. Same would go for asking for special missions that you have to buy, no. If you want to give NCSoft more money than the normal sub and the paid costume packs, buy thier stock.
I thought the thread would be about swag. I would like some more CoX swag.

The OP mentions the Other Game and how 'cool' it would be if we had stuff the way the other game does.
The Other Game is F2P. This means those who pay nothing get the bare bones, bog standard vanilla version. Everything else has to be paid for in a microtransaction. Such as the examples I used as parralels for what it would be like.
We already GET more stuff in the free updates, and some paid for stuff in the boosters. Asking for more stuff exclusively as paid for only is a bad idea, one I will never sign to.

While I personally look forward to any future Boosters the devs might release doing what the OP suggests is a horrible idea. We are very fortunate that we have a company that doesn't try to nickel and dime us to death like Cryptic does. Normally I'd just /unsigned but this idea is so bad I have to /jpoweranger.
If the devs eventually get to the point where they have to say "our art budget can't handle free costume bits every issue so we'll have to stick with boosters for those" I wouldn't be at all saddened. I love the boosters and like the quality of what we've gotten thus far and it seems to only be getting better.
But beyond costume *PACKS* (not parts, sold seperately), I couldn't see paying for anything else. Missions? Contacts? Powersets? Archtypes? Zones? I don't see it happening outside of Expansion Packs.
Purchasable pets, in-game-items, special campaigns, powers, etc... could all be placed in the NC store. I would probably buy loads of stuff and I'm sure other people would too.

Pets and Powers, In-Game Items - We already have these. You get special powers in the packs, you can even rent a jet pack on a monthly basis. I could see pets being included in a pack, as long as they had little or no effect and were mostly just ornamental. Imagine all the "What, you didn't purchase any Heavies to bring on the trial? Kick." That wouldn't work. Same goes for special Recipes or Enhancers or whatever else you may mean by In-Game Items.
And please don't say you mean XP or Inf or Shards or something because that's just ridiculous.
What other cost would there be besides development time? They don't have to go out and purchase raw kryptonite to craft our powers or anything. Development time spent on these things would be development time not spent giving us more free stuff. Pure profit? If anyone who works at paragon read this they probably had a good laugh at that.
Except the game already has microtransactions. Booster packs are costume pieces, emotes and powers unlocked by real money. Adding more changes nothing negatively.

I have no problem with microtransactions, and already own all the booster packs.
I DO have a problem with a model based on The Other Game, because the way they do things is frankly horrible, and would not want that anywhere near CityOf. Ever.

I would love to see more purchasable things in the NC-Store. There's another hero game that starts with a "c" that has loads of things in their store. But I love this game so much more. I know some people are against micro-transactions but I'm not one of them.

No, no, no, a thousand times no!
Now, this, yes. I would fully support this. Anything other than these should follow the same model it has been following up until now: expansion pack when it is called for, FREE updates in the form of issues when it is not. I already pay a subscription I don't want or need to be paying more for extra playable content.
Rabbits & Hares:Blue (Mind/Emp Controller)Maroon (Rad/Thermal Corruptor)and one of each AT all at 50
MA Arcs: Apples of Contention - 3184; Zen & Relaxation - 35392; Tears of Leviathan - 121733 | All posts are rated "R" for "R-r-rrrrr, baby!"|Now, and this is very important... do you want a hug? COH Faces @Blue Rabbit
Im still waiting for the Power Slide to become available already...
and those wonderful IDF costumes... please please please !!!!
The hard things I can do--- The impossible just take a little bit longer.
If numbers are so much more important than a teammate who is fun to play with, forget about the game altogether and go play with a calculator instead. -Claws and Effect-
61866 - A Series of Unfortunate Kidnappings - More than a coincidence?
2260 - The Burning of Hearts - A green-eyed monster holds the match.
379248 - The Spider Without Fangs - NEW - Some lessons learned (more or less.)
If the devs stay true to past history GR will eventually be merged seemlessly with the rest of the game just like CoH and CoV were merged and it won't matter what edition someone buys they'll get access to the whole combined game regardless of when they first activated their account.

We are not that other game.
Why not more stuff? I think we should have a monthly costume pack.
5.99 dollars. Just costume pieces.
Examples: Carnies pack, Cimerorans pack, Ouroboros pack, Rikti pack...
We never get new costumes pieces anymore for free, so if we want more options, 2 or 3 boosters in a year is not enough.
Great way to raise resources for the art team, so they can finally release those new hi-res pieces, NPCs costume conversions, IDF and more stuff.
Otherwise we never going to get those costumes, even if those David Nakayama threads are full of post with suggestions they never care about.
At least theres a steampunk pack coming that looks awesome.
The game already costs $180 a year. The fact that we're already asked to pay extra for costume packs is ridiculous, why ask for even more?
