Best part is it will give you double merits. Yay 14 instead of 7. I can't wait the KHTF gets to be the WTF too!
Your character does not have capped defense. Depending on your AT the cap is between 175% - 225%. Your defense is not teal in the combat window, it can go higher. STOP SAYING IT IS CAPPED! The correct term is Soft Cap.
I enjoy playing in Mids. I specialize in Melee Characters, other AT's usually bore me.

Eden trial is just terrible as is. It is still bugged. YES, you still need a lvl 39-41 to start it. It also only grants 2 merits. I'll be doing other things that week.

It's really a very cool trial, with some of the best maps in the game.
But yes, the starting requirement of a character within range and the meager rewards means hardly anyone runs it.

On the upside, they'll know about the bug for sure soon enough. Downside, they'll probably just switch the WTF back to the ITF for that week rather than fix it.

With respect to rewards for the Eden Trial, I recall that farming of this trial seemed to be overdone, particularly when rare recipe drops were still part of the reward. That would explain the low merit reward, since it would be too easy nowadays to keep a toon at perma 39-41.
Might make more sense to remove both the reward and level restriction, so that people can have more freedom to participate with the adventure, without dealing with, "Gee, we don't have anyone to start us off."

Yeah, the low reward is because you can speed the trial very quickly. My first couple of Eden Trials were speed runs that took 10-15 minutes to complete. I really didn't get a good feel for the trial doing that, but was able to do some longer runs later. It really does have an epic feel, because of the setting, but the fact that it's mostly on one gigantic map (well... several gigantic maps that link together... but certainly the largest indoor maps in the game, I think) is probably what makes it difficult to fix so that it can't be speeded through.
I have a toon locked at 41 for the Eden Trial (well... technically she's only 40 because we did 1 Eden Trial using her and then never decided to run it since... but I built the character specifically to lock at 41 for Eden). Hopefully I'll get to use her a few times that week. ^_^

The level restriction thing is a bug, so yes, lets fix that, but considering that the Titan Os are useless once you get to level 47, the merit reward is pretty much the only viable one. Why take it away and make running the trial that much less desirable?

I would rather they had fixed the hole in the wall, than making it worth nothing to run. Sounds like they put sand in their tires instead fixing the hole in the tire. Made it completely worthless, and didn't help anything.
