Oh good, Praetorian zone invasions, so we can farm the mobs we farm in the trial farms free-range style.

Exactly how happy should I be?

As I've said in another thread, I think it's something like this.

Do you badge? If you do, and the invasions award badges, you should be happy until the new badge smell wears off. After that you should ignore them and occasionally be annoyed when they happen in a zone you're trying to visit the market in or when you're on a Numina TF, just like with the other invasions. If you don't badge, or they don't award badges, skip step 1.

Ease up a little Venture. This is a nice break from the norm and it could be fun. Try to put aside your angst and just dive into the invasion. I think you could really enjoy yourself.

That's what he wants you to think.

In fact Viridian is also Crimson. And so is Indigo.

People have complained about not seeing any change to the game world despite Tin Mage, Apex and Sutter showing great destruction in Kings Row, Steel Canyon and Skyway. Now we're finally seeing some effect of the invasions.

Tonnes of lag for 20 minutes and then everything going back exactly as it was beforehand?

I mean the Rikti have been invading for years now and they haven't even managed to knock a single building over. Someone should buy them a monument destroying laser, those bombs are useless.

Jenni Adair and Keith Nance: Who are you and why should I listen to you?
Because they're actually there to arrest you for crimes you didn't commit and are FBI agents?

Dean McArthur and Leonard: Same, only double 'cause it's villains.
You don't. The arcs are optional. Plus Dean is actually an example of a Villain Contact where they did it right. He's the lowly sidekick, you're the guy in charge.

Will anything be happening in Praetoria itself? If all the dimensional barriers are weak, maybe the Rikti or Rularuu could show up over there for a change.

I cannot wait for this, it will be a fun fun time, and yes it will be laggy but I really don't care I get to stomp on Praetorians, actually I like to stomp on anything, I happen to like invasions, not matter what kind of invasions they are.

No, they aren't FBI agents. They are agents of an agency I've never heard of, that is supposedly a branch of the FBSA. Why they had to invent a new branch of the FBSA I don't know. They could have just made them FBSA agents. Or PPD. PPD also try to arrest superpowered criminals in Paragon City.

The way the lore is set up, the Rikti can't reach Praetoria from their home dimension, only if they start from our dimension. The reason we call ourselves "Primal Earth" isn't just vanity; our dimension can actually connect to more other dimensions than any other we've discovered.

So, they're calling it that in the sense that it's a "prime nexus" sort of thing?

Or it could be that whoever is writing that little sidestory sort of forgot that Numina is supposed to be a ghost.

FWIW, while it was explained yesterday during the informal Ustream chat that a lot of people contributed toward the Numitron relationship, Matt Miller told me that he was the writer of the actual story on the main COH site setting up "Praetorian Surge".

Giant flowers. Comes from another world wherein the Devouring Earth's early experiments involved hemp plants... thus turning the whole world a bit hippy. You must defeat them and pick their flowers for an apology bouquet between Cleo and Praetor... wait, said too much.

Sounds like someone forgot that Numina is not a ghost. (-:

Just ask Ghost Widow. She can harm other ghosts, but she cannot harm Numina.

They'll get looked at if the story needs them to be looked at.
