Solo MoITF

I know people have done this before but last night I tried to solo an MoITF on my SS/fire/soul. It' was my 3rd time an i finally did it.
I must say, im really liking i20.

here

A little side note is that i *actually* could have been done in about 1:03 but i ended DCing twice on the last mish. The first time i had finished romi and was 63 kills away. Then I DCing WHILE fighting romi. I'll have to run it again to see if i can beat that time.

Very impressive man, congrats! How did you deal with the final rommy and his fluffies fight? Did you have to get him away from the healer? Did you use anything to kill their regen?

I don't know how he dealt with the final AV fight, but he couldn't have used anything to kill their regen since it was a Mo run. No Envenomed Daggers. Would have been pure DPS.

Yep, just punch him in the face a lot. But thats kind of the thing, with only 1 person in range the healer heals for crap. It was actually the dmg aura nictus that caused the most trouble. A few times i actually thought it was dead or something because it wasnt even healing.

Congrats!!

I had tried a while back but failed on my first attempt with DM/SD/Soul brute, but I got cocky at Rom and took him with all the Nictus and the entire courtyard at once.

That damned auto-heal nictus ate me up.

So well done, i20 or no i20.

And actually, that's a very fast time if I'm not mistaken.

How did you survive on a fire, isn't most of their dmg energy? Did you use insps?

Posted

I'm sure he used inspirations. When I did this on my SS/Fire I could survive most parts with keeping one purple up and using two for the tougher parts. Just had to watch out for defense failure.

Anyways gratz! It's pretty fun to do.

Only ended up using orange insp when the dmg aura nictus was up, auto hit is a *****, and then breakfrees of course. But that's beacuse i had barrier as an "OH ****!" button, which wasnt too often thankfully.

Thanks guys

Nice!!!

So I guess SS/FA aren't just for farming

UPDATE!!
This time i did it in 0:40:38. There were 3 deaths however, the first one was mine in the first damn mish. I was typing about how my filler might not want to enter 2nd mish because of ambushs...so no one dies and we get the badge. But still no temps! So moral of the story: do not type while surrounded by time traveling energy lobster nazi's aliens from outer space that are also made of energy.

Hi Ultra,

Nice effort btw, did you have much drama getting your lethal to 45% Im still planning out my build and mids doesnt seem to reflect my percentages in real game play. Did you use any HO's to get it over the line

Grats, well done.

Looking forward to finally getting my own ss/fire to 50, (almost there....), then i can finally be in the cool kids club

Nice, that time is faster than my DM/SD scrappers time, though I did it a little differently (no insps, no deaths, 0/8). I'm trying to see how high I can crank the level. I know I can do a +1, probably a +2, but +3 and +4 look difficult. I did it 59:00. This is a great achievement though, since you have probably have a lot less survivability than my character. But then again, you probably can kill stuff faster in AoE at least.

Do you need someone in your TF ?

Is there a way where you could have them all join and then quit or just log out but not quit ?

And if all of that does not make sense. My simple question is what is the easiest way of getting this accomplished solo without hindering anyone or wasting their time hanging around for 40 minutes.

Of course Congrats BTW.

I just have a bunch of toons I would like to try this out with and trying to get someone or bribe someone to be in the team just isn't going to work every time I am ready to do this.

Fiery Aura is a lot more survivable than many people give it credit for when built properly (ie with high s/l defense, prefferable 32% (softcap with a purple), 40% (softcap with t4 barrier), or 45% (which OP has)). 45% s/l defense + good resistances + an amazing self heal = one bulky brute.

If everyone but you quits the tf, the tf gets disbanded (you get booted as well, effectively). you can however have everyone quit except you and one other, and have the other person log out of that toon, as long as they dont /quit/ the tf, logging out allows the tf to continue while letting you solo it. They are then free to play any other toon until you finish.

I know /Fire can be pretty survivable, but he wouldn't have the DDR or the extra healing my scrapper had from Siphon Life (or the defense to other types of damage, but the TF is almost all smashing/lethal anyway). This is why I was impressed, because he could still be hurt by cascading defense failure, and because some things probably could still hurt him. My scrapper can cap his smashing/lethal resistance with his T9, and regenerates 110 hps, so he probably has better maximum survivability and his DDR, which is why I was impressed a /fire doing so well.

SS/Fire can lay down fireball, footstomp and burn that will clear up anything to a boss so it's very easy to just kill them before cascading defence becomes an issue.

That is a very impressive feat and makes me wonder about doing it on mine

If your going to try to Solo TF's you don't want the Pyre epic pool you want Soul so you can run the optimal attack chain of Burn, Haymaker, Gloom, KoB, Haymaker and Gloom on AV's when you get to them.

Though in this day and age your Lore pets are going to do more than enough damage to make up for it if you insist on using Pyre

Build in MIDS plz?

Did you use pets (incarnate) anywhere during the trial?

What was your Rommy strategy in the final mish.

Thanks.

The best way to do this is probably to PL at least one freemium account to 35 and use that to fill. Then get a few others to fill enough to start it, and then they can all quit and you can run the task force at your leisure. You can do this for any task force as long as you can get enough people to just momentarily fill it to start, and as long as your computer can run two copies of the client for at least as long as it takes to start the task force (and then once started, you can log out and exit that second client).

You can also PL a whole bunch of freemiums to fill and not have to ask anyone to fill to start, but that would take more time, and a significantly beefier computer.
