You know... that actually made more sense to me than the rewards/incarnate section of the notes.

Uh... why? Several Corruptor Sonic Attack powers do more damage than their recharge timers would normally do. Wasn't it set up that way to prevent the Defender version from outperforming the Corruptor version more than it already does?

  • Incarnate Trials: Don't even bother if you'r using an MM, because you will get burned, shot, stabbed, zapped, fried, blown up, gunned down, trodden on, ***** and generally pulverised in every freaking way under, over and behind the sun for having the nerve to show up. Here's more level 54s to laugh at you and make a mockery of your defences, while one shotting Pets with massive AoEs.
The Lambda I just did (andd failed) started out fun.
As soon as it became timed and required stuff, y'know, run past and avoided? Yeah. Woop de frigging do. Thanks for letting MM's 'rely' on freaking retard pets that don't get that running into Melee with giant mobs is a terrible move. Thank you SO much for having the Trials be the only realistic way of getting the new stuff, without being robbed blind by stupid bloody arbitrary barriers...

Rare and Very Rare powers in this slot provide a level shift.

Do these levels shifts apply in all content now?

Any chance PI could get some transportation love at some point? Right now every city zone in CoV is connected to every other city zone. But in Paragon City, every city zone, except PI, is connected to every other city zone. The current ferry to Talos could also be connected to IP. Maybe add a transport helicopter in PI connecting it to landlocked zones (Founders, Bricks, Atlas, & Steel).

OK, that is what I thought, but I figured that information would be in the patch notes. I suggest that the patch notes should reflect the fact that the two new level shifts only apply in Incarnate trials.

Careful. You criticize the Holy End Game Trials and corresponding Reward/Advancement System. You know not what this may bring.

Though it'll probably be less painful than what it sounds like you went through on that trial.

That's why they're called Incarnate Shifts, not Level Shifts.

Honestly, it's nice to know that my MM will finally be challenged by something. MMs really do make a lot of this game trivial with some of the stuff they can do. (Granted, I do hope this is also a bit of "after the fact, not exactly straight remembering" for it, as it sounds a bit more brutal than, say, Vanguard vs. Melee.)

I believe villains also get a free Notice out of their mish, which in my opinion is a very fair trade off.

My "Huge" Tanker seems to sound different now when taunting. Instead of the old, low, "Aaaaah" (either MaleTaunt6, MaleTaunt6b, or MaleTaunt13) he now sounds like my Tankers with the "Male" character model (might be MaleTaunt4, MaleTaunt8, or MaleTaunt14).

Intentional?

Defiance: Siege’s assisting Warworks feature new AI protocols which allow them to increase their attack strength and chance to hit the longer they remain attacking. If too many of his allies arrive, they can quickly overwhelm almost any opponent.
This ability is too strong and needs to be scaled back. There is no reason at all a full league of 24 should be forced to fail just because of some bosses.

Five new currencies.

Really?

We absotively, posilutely

Had.

To.

Have.

5 more currencies.

Because NONE of the new stuffz could be unlocked with ANY of the already existing currencies, huh?

Don't get me wrong, I'm nowhere near "ragequit" time, but I sure do feel sorry for anyone who is new to this game. Or someone returning to this game.

Is the in-game store available? If that's down, the access to unused extra slots is denied.

And a buff until then (not sure what the numbers on the buff are at the moment.)

Store's been up all day.

As an update, a little birdie told me (Rather a birdie told a friend of mine) that it is a known issue. Players won't be receiving a bunch of new slots.

Except it won't be. Alpha is IO'd to the gills, and I know very well how to play him. A challenge, for me, no involves running permanantly at x8 and with varying levels of +level, or against things like Romans, who still provide a suitable challenge.

The Trials don't do that, not for MMs. They say 'Whatever you have is going to get neutered, your pets are going to be one shotted in a tide of AoE, and we're going to auto-hit snipe you when you try and resummon them somewhere safe. Lol at you.'

Of course, some people might like frustrating cheap tricks and auto-hit powers that masquerade as a 'challenge'.

Hmm... that may be true, but then again, remember how much wailing and gnashing of teeth there was for ITF at its launch. This will be the same.

I've already covered this in the other thread.

Romans obey base accuracy laws. Romans dont spam high acc AoEs, at Boss level. Romans don't have auto-hit artillery that punishes you for needing to pull back to re-summon pets.

Romans are challenging, and require you to be careful, because the LTs and Bosses can still make a mess of you.
Praetorians aren't. They just cheat. And thats not fun.
