Getting out of Praetoria
Some would say that Praetoria is part of "the world".
It's not some kind of extended tutorial.
Anyway; no, you can't.
You can get to Pocket D but you can only return to Praetoria from there.

Ah Shame, its just that Praetoria has some very laggy maps (something to do with the lighting on the office / warehouse type maps) for me and my laptop.
I'll just cope with it and get to 20 then go heroes
i've been playing the game since US Beta... I don't need an extended tutorial
All I want is to dance under the Atlas statue
You don't need to start all new characters in Praetoria, just your first one. Create a new toon and you'll be able to start in Paragon City.
"You don't lose levels. You don't have equipment to wear out, repair, or lose, or that anyone can steal from you. About the only thing lighter than debt they could do is have an NPC walk by, point and laugh before you can go to the hospital or base." -Memphis_Bill
We will honor the past, and fight to the last, it will be a good way to die...
Nope, you cant create say a dominator straight onto heroes... Will have to do either going rogue or Preatoria first
@Carnifax_NA yeah thought that oh well
I totally understand where you are coming from. I almost came to a standstill trying to level my Praetorian because of the lag - although mine was only in the outside world. It was such a pain to turn down the graphics to play him then turn them back up in the rest of the game. If it weren't for the excellent stories I'm sure I would have deleted him somewhere along the line.
Really there is no reason for NCSoft not to allow creations of all non EAT in Blue or Red side. With the moral lines becoming all grey anyway. Also Preatoria seems to be exactly that a tutorial for your villian to go blue side. Finding hero AT in preatoria is rare.

Got plenty of toons lvl 7-12 trapped in Praetoria. If they could come to Paragon, I could find teams and such again, but now I am stuck soloing them to 20 and that just feels like a chore, now that I have done all the storylines.
I guess Praetoria was not designed for grave cases of altitis such as myself :-)
So if you want a Dominator in Paragon City, and you are finding soloing in Preatoria too hard, laggy, etc., - go ahead and create the new Dominator in the Isles, rush through the 1-20 content and then side switch. If Praetoria is really that slow, then you should be able to get to Paragon City faster by the old fashioned CoV stuff until you switch.

@Ad Astra, yes that was the only other option
oh well
Another possible option...Have a friend create a Primal toon and meet them in Pocket D. Level Pact your Praetorian with your friends Primal toon. PL your friends primal toon to 20, and viola! Your Praetorian is now lvl 20 and free to go blue side, and your friend gets a free lvl 20 toon out of the deal.
P.S. I have never actually done this because I hate farming, but it is possible and available as an option, my SG mates do it fairly often.

They've been gradually adding those Warehouse Lag Maps into regular content.
Noticed several of them in Tip missions recently and even one of them in the last Synapse TF I ran.
Unfortunately, leaving Praetoria isn't going to help.

And Praetoria is the new Roach Motel of the game. Previously it was the level 30-40 range, but these days 30-40 is nothing like it used to be. But Praetoria? Oh, yeah. Slow, slow, slow.
I've been wanting to roll an Ice/KM Tanker for redside, and I'd prefer for him to be Villainous his whole career, but that means rolling in Praetoria, and when I think of the time it's going to take to get him out of there I just end up not rolling him at all.
I do enjoy Praetoria on a number of levels, but its become thematically very weird and uncomfortable for me and the leveling just sucks compared to primal.

WARNING: I bold names.
Praetoria didn't seem to slow down until all the end-game stuff popped up, meaning everyone was playing their 50. It should get better over time.
I do know what you guys mean by it being slow though; I tend to play late at night or early morning and even on Freedom it's hard to find people to team with.

Brilliant idea! But the toons I want to get out of Praetoria are all past lvl 5 though now, but I will remember it for the future
I have had a completely opposite experience.
On my first couple Praetorians, I had to turn off XP just to get through all the story arcs on one side. That's just from soloing too.
Some of the later arcs (starting at the teen levels) start throwing some MASSIVE Story Arc Bonus EXP at you, sometimes multiple times in the same arc. Enough Exp to give you up to half a level just for completing key missions in the arc.
For Praetorians, even solo, the lower levels go fast, well, because they're lower levels and the higher levels (up to 20) tended to go fast because of all the bonus Exp that you're granted.
Hiya,
I just wanted to know if you could quickly get out of Praetoria and go into the world say at level 1 - 2?
Thanks in advance
