Forum not loading problem back.

Sadly I think this isn't a dev problem, as in Paragon Studio, and more of an NCSoft web monkey problem and in NCSoft's eyes, we are but a tiny group compared to their other MMOs.

It's not FireFox. It's not any browser. When this problem hits, I get problems loading the site with hand-written programs, and with an on-computer proxy server.

Last night around 2am PDT, the forums locked up so hard that it kicked out my entire internet. I was browsing the internet just fine, visited the forums just fine for a few minutes, after which it took a huge crap, and then I couldn't load ANY website at all. I also couldn't load any of my internet-required applications (like City, Steam, etc.) which connect over a different port than HTTP, and can typically still connect if I'm having access issues to the forums, so my connection was totally hosed.

I called my provider (Comcast) and they jumpstarted my connection from their end (I guess stopping and restarting service? I have no idea, the tech just said they were going to try "jumpstarting my connection"), and the rest of the web was back. However, the City forums were still dead to me, although this time visiting the forum didn't crap out my actual internet connection.

Thanked the tech and hung up and went to bed instead of trying to figure anything out, because this is just friggen irritating at this point.

It was working for me pretty well yesterday, but now it is not. Interestingly, when I hit 'post' the page generally just goes into the 'waiting for data' state, but if I go back to the thread I can see my post in it, even when the page is still 'loading' in another tab.

Problem generally happens for me at work, on win7/vista and ubuntu. Haven't had a problem at home.

I seem to have problems loading in at night from my home.
This would be from 5 CST time on.

During the day from work I can check all day long if I wish and zero problems.

Work is AT&T DSL
Home is Comcast

Have the same issues and i live on the other side of the atlantic. I don't think it's isp related

I am having the same issues, and incidentally, this is happening with NC Soft's site as well (where you go for account management, etc.). These are the only websites where I have these issues as well. Wish they would figure out what is going on.

Oh, thank goodness. I was thinking I was the only one with this problem.
Comcast user, with Windows 7 and Firefox.

This problem is getting more and more frustrating. It seems to be getting worse with each subsequent patch too. It's now reached the point for me where I can only get to the forum from my PC 1 out of 10 attempts... But I can access from my phone over 3G just fine.

It's clearly a routing problem...

Add me to the number of poeple having problems with this. Using windows 7 and IE. Problem started when I came home from a long business trip in Arlington, TX back to Lubbock, TX. In Arlington I had no problems connecting to this site specifically. Here in Lubbock I have to make anywhere between 5-20 attempts to get on before it will even load the forum's main page. Once I do get in I'm fine for about 5-30 minutes. After that it back to constant reload attempts till im allowed to access this page again. I am not a computer genius so I cant figure this out on my own. However, I can follow well written instructions if anyone has a solution.

MY problems with the forum loading stopped but the last two days is back . Sign in Welcome screen come up and then logged out or when switching pages. But of course it not NC/NC and I am an isolated incident.Yeah.

It got worse.

For some reason it loads faster if im logged out.

I am having the same problem, using firefox and IE, it has been like this for weeks, on both the COH page, and NCSoft page.

I have now completely given up with Firefox. I can only load the forums in a reasonable amount of time if I am using Chrome. And once I do get them loaded it takes several attempts to log in. Most attempts just get a page does not exist response. Once logged in though I don't seem to have any further problems other than my posts sometimes take a couple minutes to show up.

It's happening to me today, and happened yesterday, so whatever fixes they made did not rectify the problem.

Not been able to get on here properly for a few weeks now. Also included in that is cityofheroes.com as well as plaync.com.

I'm using Firefox, IE and even tried Safari.. No luck with any. ISP is Virginmedia.

For a time tonight I wasn't able to get here either. boards.cityofheroes.com had a 4 second ping time. Maybe the Interweb got all clogged due to the OBL is dead news.

This is the first I've been able to get to the forums in close to 48 hours.

Couldn't get in all weekend from home, works like a charm from work.

HELLO DEVS, are you out there?

This was behaving pretty well late last week, but it really went to hell over the weekend, and is still really atrocious right now.

Main forum pages fail to load for me with outrageous frequency. For a long time I was able to get the "outer" page fairly often, but I would hang up on some included resource, like a JS or CSS file. Now I just can't get the outer page, most of the time.

As before, my requests go through immediately, even if I never get the web page. For example, if I post something, that post succeeds. When I finally get the page (often after dozens of retries) I find my changes successfully committed. The server just refuses to give me content.
