I'll be the first to say that I'm not really sold on the idea that Adrianne Palicki is the best choice for the role. But even from what little I know and have seen of her I think she's a better choice than many others that have been tossed up over the years.

WW has big shoes to fill. Lucy Lawless could probably do it easily but she's so connected to Xena...
I think they need to scrap this rev and keep looking.

A whole lot could be done to improve the look. What I was more focused on, looking aside the 'Cracker Jacks' feel of the costume, does the actress look like and she sound like and fill out my expectations of a Wonder Woman. A paragon of Justice who's strength and abilities are on par with the best including the man of steel.
I read this Diana Prince is going to be a high powered attorney in a big law firm. That doesnt sit right with me. The whole point of a Clark Kent, Diana Prince, Peter Parker, etc is to functionally hide in anonymity, even Bruce Wayne for all his press and money works at making his "Bruce" face look to lethargic and Play-Boyish to be effective at anything.
I look forward to seeing the new series, I have enjoyed most of the super her stuff put on in the last 20-30 years even if it dint last long. The flash they did a while back was pretty good and had good rating was canceled anyways.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not ragging on the girl about her looks. She looks fine. DEFINITELY not "fugly". She's not what I'D picture as Wonder Woman, but then I've never thought Christian Bale looked like Batman.
I doubt I'll be too into this series given the tone they seem to be leaning toward, but I'm all for them giving it a try. If nothing else it'll at least get the Wonder Woman name back in the public eye, and if the more faithful comic book movies stay popular, we might get a good WW movie outta it.

out of curiosity, i was looking around and noticed that cynthia rothrock is a brunette now and still looks fairly ageless...not saying she was a great actress and she is a bit older, but if we are going for a more mature ww, she still could pass for early 40s, and could easily handle the physicality of the role.
