Well true, while being the God of War he do not appear to be one of strenght. The one eyed man do favour to be in his old man form, beard and long hair.
The mysterious old, decripid man that walks unnoticed in Midgard, who puts tasks to mortals and Gods alike. A man with many names who nobody recognizes as Odin.
And he has been doing this for a long time.
You got it it backwords. I love Tolkien and specially Gandalf (wizards), but I'd rather say that Gandalf looks alot like Odin (minus the eye thing). Thus Gandalf is a Odin Wannabe.
(Although Gandalf do take more care and have more love for the people in Midgard.)

Hmm you missed Jormundgard, Fenris, Hunin and Munin, Gere and Freke (the two wolves of Odin), Skade (quick english translation "damage/hurt".. by hurt you get wise... I know... poor translation from a norwegian proverb), she was the wife of the father to Freya and Frey, the god of waters (fish etc); Njord.

I should note that cultic statues of Frey usually depict him with a hug erection.

And we're not talking about the architectural kind.

Okay, Steelclaw, get to work. You've got a lot more to go on:

Egypt: Anubis, Atum-Re, Bastet, Geb, Horus, Isis, Kebauet, Osiris, Ptah, Set, Sobek, and Thoth.

Aztec: Huitzilopochtli, Miclántecuhtli, Quetzalcoatl, Tezcatlipoca, Tlaloc, Tlazoltéotl, and Xipe Totec.

Vodu: Agwe, Baron Samedi, Damballa, Erzulie, Kalfu, Legba, Ogoun, and Shango.

Ireland: Aengus, Brigid, The Dagda, Danu, Dian Cecht, Lugh, Manannán mac Lir, The Morrígan, Nuada and Ogma.

China: Chang'e, Fuxi, Guan Yu, Guanyin, Houyi, Huang Di, Nezha, Nüwa, Shennong, Sun Wukong, Xiwangmu and Yanluo.

India: Agni, Brahma, Ganesha, Indra, Kali, Lakshmi, Parvati, Sarasvati, Shiva, Surya, Vishnu and Yama.

Persia: Anahita, Ard, Haoma, Mah, Mithra, Sraosha, Tishtrya, Vahram, Vayu and Zam.

Now, add some... non-standard pantheons to the mix. I think Britannia (UK), Marianne (France), and Rodina-Mat (Russia) are all good candidates for godhood.

Then Uncle Sam and John Bull can go hang out. Or get into a bar brawl, either way.

I think I read that manga.

Thor is more of a heroic brute. He was something of a berserker after all.

That, and scrappers don't get a hammer.

*cough cough*

Blind archer? That's generous for a guy who made a game out of getting things thrown at him.

I would have thought anyone with this God as a patron would have Yuletide and Christmas as their major weakness.

Yes, because partial female nudity has ALWAYS at all points in history been associated with promiscuity and prostitution.

But the low-cut top in your avatar is not "****** clothes" despite the modern context.

OK, so she had a thing for little guys.

At least it wasn't a pearl necklace.

Norse tends to be my pantheon of choice when it comes to looking at names. Thanks for inspiring altitis by giving me a few more!

I started reading this list and the tune to the Beach Boys' song "Kokomo" got stuck in my head:

The Beach Boys:
Aruba, Jamaica
Oooh, I wanna take ya
Bermuda, Bahama
Come on, pretty mama

Your list:
Anubis, Atum-Re
Bastet, Geb and Horus
Isis, Kebauet
Osiris, Set and Sobek

I knew the Egyptian pantheon had the sand, but who knew they surfed??

"How do you know you are on the side of good?" a Paragon citizen asked him. "How can we even know what is 'good'?"

"The Most High has spoken, even with His own blood," Melancton replied. "Surely we know."

Why not the Celtic pantheon to tie in with some of the Croatoa content?

You forgot Magni and Modi, Thor's sons by Sif. I get em mixed up but one was the God of Strength (he was the only other being able to pick up Mjolnir) and the other was the Patron God of Berserkers.

But my vote for the next pantheon you go through is ..... CTHULHU!
Yeah it's pretty much all villain incarnates and yeah they would all be verifiably insane....and yeah I know we don't have octopus heads coming in the Animal Pack, but I can dream can't I?

PS: And the best part is that its all public domain like all other religions! (There is a few jokes in there but I fear the flamewar I may start).

Edited: to add a PS.

Indeed. She is as much a Goddess of abundance (wealth) as beauty. And since She gets to choose from half the dead who died in battle, there is a clear connection to at least some aspects of war. Keep in mind that She was one of the most widely worshiped Goddess by the Nordic people, who were rather conservative. She was by no means the Goddess of sluts.

I also don't think Odin would be opposed to incarnates. Since a great deal of His time is preparing for Ragnarök (one can imagine The Coming Storm), I'm sure He would welcome all the help He can get.

But yeah, I would love to have the Norse Gods represented.
