New Pack, New Thread: ANIMAL PACK

That pattern, the cheetah pattern.
Can it be placed on the skin, rather than on fur? Like make it appear as a tattoo?
It's disappointing to me because I used to enjoy seeing how all the new parts could be repurposed into other costumes but I suppose I'll just have to wait for the next (Steampunk?) booster and hope they do better.

While I hope for a Steampunk pack (it's my namesake on a lot of various sites), I'm not sure if it'll be Steampunk. I know "pressure" was the key word? I've heard it could be a water themed pack instead. With Jay's rantings about what sounded like Atlantis or water zones (possibly), I feel it gives it a bit more validity.
I'm happy either way. I have a lot of water themed toons that could get a makeover too but I'd definitely be happiest with a Steampunk one first.

But a female upper body - tights would have that pattern on it, just like the other patterns.
I hope that can work for you!
So... yes and maybe no!
That, my friend, is gloriously 80s. As my boyfriend put it, "He-Man meets Thundercats." Seriously, I'm getting nostalgic for shows that I never even watched because I was four years old in 1989. Bravo, good sir - bravo!

I never watched either of those shows, myself! (well, I mean, I remember seeing them and all, but they weren't my thing)
I guess it is just that gaudy, regal, warrior feline from another world thing...
And thanks!!

I'm not even all that into the steampunk scene, I just know that I can find something interesting to do with some new shoulders, new arms, new boots, etc. Can't say the same about lion and cow heads.
Here's two that use very little of the new pack but that I think show how it combines well with the rest of the costume pieces in the game:
Direcat. The only animal parts here are the head.
Jaguar Man. Here only the tights pattern is part of the pack.
Yeah, it's not very versatile when it comes to mixing and matching with other pieces without making an anthropomorphic toon but I still think this pack is more than the "furry pack".
Noble Savage said today that several people have already guessed the next booster and since Steampunk seems to be the common guess (and I haven't really heard anyone guessing "water"), I'd keep the safe money on steampunk.

Here's mine, a War Mace/Electric Armor Brute named Trample (edit: although I'll need to come up with something else for Live; that name appears to be taken on every server surprisingly enough). He's supposed to be the genetically engineered, cyborged creation of the same kind of attempt to create a super soldier to fight Hamidon that created Bobcat. Except he's a Grumpy Bull and not a Lazy Catgirl. He's a mix of Mintotaur parts, Cyborg Parts, the Clockwork chest plate, and the spiked glove & belt.

Also, murr. Some of the pieces look interesting (though I haven't bothered regetting the test server to mess around with them) but I feel there could be more. :x ... as I find myself staring at mako in the far corner of my browser. Mm, mako.
Here's a few of Invincibull!

Liking Invincibull there, Bass!
Meant to comment, I love the use of the organic armor parts on this... quite a good find there!
Nice job!

Figured it'd be too easy to go for a mystical mythological type character, So I tried something a bit more Tech inspired.
Without further ado, I give you Bully for Bullets:
Side note: Piercing Rounds looks particularly impressive using a max height, huge bodied bovine.
I really had hopes for this pack. Was excited even. Then I saw the "bull" head. One of my main toons and one I'm known for in game, Bully the Clown, will not be transitioning to this head. I guess what I hoped for was to have animal heads that we could add face details to. If I could use the bull head with the clown make-up for instance maybe then I'd be happy. But just making a static bull head that I can add a nose ring to or not doesn't do much for me. I will probably buy this pack still but mostly for the Beast Run and the smoke aura (because Bully the Clown smokes - fire/ss afterall)....
Also some upper leg options would be very nice. But I will say the bird head with various beaks is nice and apparently you can do some coloring to them... Maybe I'll be more excited when I get a chance to mess with it more. Until then....
Still waiting on my "Clown" pack and customizable MM henchmen.
Customizable MM henchmen would be awesome. And combined with the animal pack... sweet! You can be King of Beasts with your pride of lions, or alpha male with your wolf pack or top cow in your herd or I can re-roll my Animal Trainer so she can have one of each.

Reposting this here, courtesy of the Costume Redesign thread (thank you, Ironik), here's a slight redesign of my cow girl from the kitchen sink tribe:
Samuel_Tow is the only poster that makes me want to punch him in the head more often when I'm agreeing with him than when I'm disagreeing with him.

I noticed that if you use the minotaur head without the nose ring/horns, thin and elongate the face, it looks very close to a horse head. Anyone want to be the first to try it and post a pic here?

Is there a place where I can find a list of the new animal pack costumes?

So excited to use these new pieces! I haven't seen a list yet, but you can check it all out on the test server (which may have been mentioned already).

Samuel_Tow was asking about tribal cow-people earlier so I decided to make a pretty standard tribal design with one:
I was going to try one with more of a colorful baggy theme except I noticed that the cow head (maybe all the animal heads) really overlap onto the chest bits and bleed over the symbols, etc. At least they did on Baggy, I didn't try Tights. So, anyway, I messed with it a little but wasn't getting the effect I wanted and gave up for the time being.
Great to see people cutting loose with the creativity.

I made the wolf head as big as I could, but the Huge model's head has always appeared small on that large body. It's the old Leifeld problem of "his forearm is as big as his head," which I personally find to be quite acceptable. It gives scale to the model.
That said, I have a metric crapton of werewolves at this point, so I have no problem with turning this guy into a lion, whose head is much bigger thanks to that mane and the fairly larger skull.
