I did however finally put the pack to good use. This isn't technically animal (although the character is a monkeygirl), but I got some use out of the new leopard pattern.

That's hawt.

Love this look! But since raindeer (male and female) shead their antlers at certain times of the year, I think loosing those antena would actually improve that raindeer appearance. But great costume either way, Deebs.

Where are the monkeys and gorillas? They are the staples of animal characters in comic books!

Cool looking pack, though. I might have to break down and get this. I don't get most of them only having purchased the martial arts and science ones.

I'm already using the Rabbit tail on a panda of my own, and it looks the part. I'd suggest trying that to see if it doesn't work for you.

My cat girl Nightseye couldnt use any part of the animal pack in her basic anamorphic look... but she is the avatar/incarnate of the goddess Bast. So I gave her a costume slot to show this off...

Looks a bit odd with the brown skin and then the grey furred head.

Define a bit odd!

I like how some people have used the heads for animal-headed otherwise-fleshy humanoids and I've seen some using it as large animal masks.

Also, Forefinger, while I share your desire for ape and monkey parts, I did post some gorilla pics earlier.

I have a few monkey costumes as well. Both only use the Animal Fur options from the new pack (and the emote and Beast Run, of course).

I noticed that even though we are now used to the egyptean art showing Bast like this.. its rather strange seeing her in animated realistic form. But its is colored and ears like an egyptean Mau cat. and the head is enlarged to fit in proportion.

one of the options allows you to color the "face" part ... it's in the patterns with the tiger stripes and stuff ... might look cool if you made that brown and left the fur (like hair) grey.

These photos are awesome. I have a few questions:

1. I bought the animal pack. I looked at some of it but is there an animation to "morph" from one costume to another?
2. How are you guys getting front shots of your alts in the photos? I know some are from the character creator.

There are costume change emotes which are Feather Burst, Feather Spin, Fur Burst, and Fur Spin. Click Here for more info.

For me I need to hold down the Page Up button, then you can move the screen anyway you want and your Character will stay in place.

No 'morph' per se, but there are costume change emotes. If you type /cce 1 ccfurburst then you swap to whichever costume is in slot 1 with a fur burst action. Same goes for featherburst, furspin, featherspin, and any of the older costume change emotes (my have is cchowl).

If you hit the 'printscreen' button while in game it will store a snapshot of the screen, minus windows and word balloons, in your screenshots folder. To get a shot of the costume creator, I usually hit screenprint to copy it, then paste it into a graphics editing program as a new picture, or even a Word document.

Anyone have screenies of the new Wisp emote?

Press and hold down your mouse wheel and the move the mouse to rotate the camera around to face you.

You can shoot the pic from any angle and then to get back to normal (there are several ways) I just spin the wheel forward quick until it goes all the way back into the head (looking out of your eyes) and that snaps the camera back into the default position behind you then roll the wheel back a few clicks to position it where you are used to having it.

I didn't see any Wisp emote in there, the only new emotes I found were
/hiss /savage /sniff
and the costume change ones
/furburst /furspin /featherburst /featherspin

Unless if you mean fur-burst LOOKING like a wisp, I can understand that!
-don't have a screenshot of it, but I guess it does look sort of Wisp-y

Got the Animal Pack, but didn't think I would be able to use any of it. The faces were awesome and beautifully detailed, but too literal. I could not come up with a character concept that would make use of such realistic looking animal faces.

Figures that I'd find inspiration in storybook fantasies.

Miss RR Hood - Even the magical ancient woods of Europe were not beyond the reach of Hamidon. As the creature laid waste to the woodlands, fairy tale characters would join forces to escape to Praetoria and fight another day. Sweet Red Riding Hood offered the Big Bad Wolf a taste of her flesh so that she would gain the beastial strength necessary to flee the Hamidon.

The Last OzGuardian - Sent from Oz to protect the homeland of The Dorothy, The Three Companions were trapped by the Devouring Earth in the ruins of Kansas. The Yellow Brick Road had been shattered and there was no way for the Companions to return home. After many attacks by the Devouring Earth, the Companions melded together to form the Last OzGuardian as a last ditch effort to survive.

Hehe, brilliant Wei Yau! Really good twist to link the fairytales with the CoH story.

Amerikat is a hybrid super soldier from WWII. He got caught in a time warp fighting Nazi sorcerers, and now patrols Paragon City.

Added another to the Storybook Heroes of Legend (or something, still working on their names)

Babe the Blue - Hailing from the legendary forests of the Pacific Northwest of the United States comes Babe the Blue. Dressed in honor of his fallen friend, the mightiest lumberjack of them all, Babe has made his way to Praetoria. Stomping and smashing every bit of Devouring Earth and Hamidon he found along the way. He's all set to make his way back to the West, just as soon as he's done reminding folks around here about the legend of Babe the Blue.

I kind of agree that the pack mostly doesn't work for alternate costumes of characters that weren't envisioned as having animal heads, or whatever. Even the few catgirls that I have, I don't imagine them as full-fledged tigers.

I did have a couple of charcters, though, that were supposed to be doglike or wolflike. One of them was Dog Is My Copilot, who looks much more like a dog these days:

I created a new hammer-swinging minotaur brute since that seems to be one of the cooler things you can do with the pack. For the name and part of the look I was kind of thinking of Judah the Hammer, aka Judah Maccabee from the Nexus comic. So this is Minos the Hammer. Obviously I'd want roman kilt at some point, but this works pretty well for me:

And I liked the leopard print so I updated one of my catgirls:

That's about all I've done with the pack so far.
