I'm back, and here's the screenshot you requested! I wouldn't use it for a horse's head, but who knows - it might be good enough for others.

That is listed in the announcement thread regarding the Animal Pack being on Test.

If that "horse" had a main it would look more like a horse then a cow. More proof we need hairstyles for the new animal heads.

If you could give it a horse's mane and elongate the snout and widen the muzzle with the head scale sliders... But yeah, not quite (I had thought, at a glance, that the head could look a bit horse-like).

Then again, I'm okay with my next costume, although some might not be:

Although it might not seem like it uses much of the new pack, it makes extensive use of the new animal fur option to allow him his open-chest top and blended animal hair hands and feet. When/if flat boots are given animal fur, I can ditch the animal fur on the smooth boots.

The raccoon has always shown a lot of character to me and, while making this, the character ideas really struck me.
I wanted to make him a bit of a rogue, a bit of a thief (formerly, of course) and make him seem like he's well equipped (mostly from things he stole from the garbage) and carrying an assortment of tools of the trade (I imagined that cape option as a loosely coiled rope/chord over his shoulder).
Give me a raccoon pattern for the tail and I'm a happy bandit.

I was messing with another outfit for him that implied a bit more of a garbage-picker (and included the fleas aura, hehe). but I wasn't as happy with the results as the above costume.

Just so it is clear, I'm using a breather from the Science Pack for the snout.

Oh, and another non-animal-headed costume making use of the animal fur option (and the savage emote):

Amazing Ape in his skivvies!

Someone had mentioned not being able to do proper briefs on the furry legs... But I thought this worked pretty well (with dark colors for the briefs, at least... they're still hairy, if you look closely... but, for the most part, I did not notice while play testing with this costume).

And just for good measure...
Amazing Ape (aka Professor Silverback) pondering things (once again using the savage emote)...

I was going to try one with more of a colorful baggy theme except I noticed that the cow head (maybe all the animal heads) really overlap onto the chest bits and bleed over the symbols, etc. At least they did on Baggy, I didn't try Tights. So, anyway, I messed with it a little but wasn't getting the effect I wanted and gave up for the time being.
That's not a bad idea. Skulls with ribs shoulders are something I somehow always seemed to just tab over without noticing it, and the red body paint in the shape of a rib cage is a pretty cool idea. I think I mostly settled on an iron mace, however.

The problem with a savage/tribal look is that the game really only has one clothing textures for it, that being the rough patches you used. The problem is I've also already used that almost as-is on Brutticus, and I really don't want to make Brutticus again, but with a cow head.

Since I stopped at a mace for a powerset, I've started thinking if it may not be smarter to go with a different design, considering the game only has one tribal costume. Perhaps something more iron age, something more medieval. Now, of course, I've already used a semi-medieval design on Xanta so I can't go with JUST the Medieval pieces and call it a day... But I could probably get close, possibly using Armour Plate. Or Valkyrie. I'll see if I can't get a pic of what I have in mind.

*edit*
Here's a pic that... Didn't come out quite like how I expected it:

I like biker cow. A LOT! This is the one I'll be using, in fact

Also, and I apologise for the double post, but I wanted to make a list of things the Animal Pack lacks that it really shouldn't, which I consider to be bugs.

Animal Fur options are only present on Tights Chests, Tights Bottoms, Mosnter hands and Smooth boots. They also need to be present on:

Smooth/Bare Gloves
Spiked Gloves
Finned Gloves
Folded Gloves
Flared Gloves
Large Gloves
Banded Gloves

Folded Boots
Flared Boots
Spiked Boots
Finned Boots
Large Boots
Banded Boots
Flat Boots

And that's at the very least. Why? Well, I'm trying to redo Pandala, as seen below, to use Animal Fur instead of Tights.

The problem is that I CAN'T. For lack of animal paws, I've had to use large gloves and boots, just to give her the feel of those large, heavy bear paws. But Large Boots and Large Gloves do not have the Animal Fur texture (or Tights Sleek texture, for that matter), so I can't.

Sam, that looks like one hell of a sleep-deprived panda. Good grief, have you been telling her to work 23 hour shifts?

Pandas typically have large black circles around their eyes, which is what I was going for here. I'm more concerned that the face isn't white enough to match the skin.

I was originally trying to use the Resistance pants (with a dark secondary so it doesn't glow) which have a stitched look without the giant patches. But it wasn't an option when I was going through and I'm not sure if it's only a male option or under different pants or what. But I agree that your options for "tribal" are pretty limited.

I LOVE that armour. Very, very nicely done.

Interesting options. Hopefully some additional ways to customize the heads will be added, ear muffs, masks and stuff. That could be simultaneously added to the Alien head, reptile head, other universally available heads with limited customization. But first, I'd like a beak for a bird that isn't a bird of prey.

Resistance pants are only available under Tucked In pants legs for all body types and not as a regular Tights option, for some odd reason. And you are correct - the Resistance pants would brobably have cut it. I just about used the Warrior pants, but those were too ornate.

I'll tell you I had very little interest in this pack before I saw these pics. Now I'll have to buy it for sure. I've had a Gorilla concept languishing in the back of my mind since 2006...

Even though I don't like the thought of a sudden influx of Animals coming to town, I've already figured out a reason in character.

For me it will be explained that we discovered another dimension where sentient humans never came to be, thus allowing other animals to take our place. This world is being destroyed by some disaster/ being taken over by Cole. So we're getting an influx of refugees.

So, with that in my head as the reason why, I don't mind joining the Pack/Herd!

I know Samuel_Tow has moved on from the tribal cow thing but I decided to force myself to make three female tribal costumes, not using rough leather, just as an exercise in creativity. Next time I need to make a rule of "No Bones" Not having the skirt option with monstrous legs is a real tough hurdle to clear.

Meant to post on this but haven't until just now. That's so awesome! Great job on the character!

UGH. God yes.

That's what I was thinking the whole time when deciding which weapons to use. NEED. BIGGER. GUNS.

You could have gone with the Match Compensators Sure, you can't colour them, but they're probably the biggest handguns in the game in terms of bulk.

Speaking of which: I SO wish we had an AT that could use handguns and wasn't squishy...

*edit*
I also figure I should include an older character of mine I made some time ago - Akili, my reptile girl:

I know she's not exactly relevant to the Animal pack, seen as how she doesn't use any pieces from it, but I figured she was relevant to the thread in spirit, plus I wanted to show off

The Great Rumpuscat now has the bare legs I'd intended for him, and a bottlebrush tail to boot:

I thought about it, but I don't really care for them. (Mostly cause of the color thing, though I suppose I could have changed the costume color to match.)

Indeed, many have lamented the lack of primates.

I'm rather indifferent towards them myself.

The mythological Chimera was said to breathe fire. So fire/ something?

Hmm... I would suggest powersets that can be customized to look like vastly different elements and/or a primary and secondary that are quite different.... All to go along with the odd mixes that is traditionally part of the chimera. I'm not sure if you want to go melee or not, so that's a tough one.
In general... think about what different sorts of effects you'd want for the different parts that make up the whole chimera (your chimera, not necessarily the traditional ideas).

Fire, toxic, air/wind, maybe sand, blades maybe?
You could use some of the auras and powers to mess with it a bit.
Say, if you had fire shields, you might put a cryogenic aura on one hand or something (or ice shields and fire aura, and so on). Not positive you want fire and ice, but just an example.

Hmmm...

Hope that might help a little!! SO many directions to go with that!
