Theme/Concept: A secret society who works in relative anonymity to subtly shift the balance of power. The Paragon chapter is one of several around the world, all dedicated to making the world a better place through precise, critical strikes. Few outside the Codex know that the group exists - or at least that's how it should be. Recently, outside forces have begun to circle in on the group, and it is up to the members to unravel the mystery of their origins before they are exposed to the world... or worse.
With a recent shift in leadership (IC, not OOC!) and the realization of some of their worst fears, the members of the Codex are forced to face their inner demons as they discover what's brought them all together and, more importantly, why!
The Codex is all about toeing the line between right and wrong, and determining when the ends justify the means. Flawed characters are constantly put in the position to make their own moral choices that can have significant consequences on futures stories that unfold.
Activity: We have 30-40 characters from about 15-20 players. Our playerbase is multi-national, from the UK, Canada, the US, Australia and Japan, so there is usually someone on most times of the day.
Requirements for Membership: Must be interested in RP and willing to take initiative. We expect everyone to be on at least every 30 days. If you're interested, fill out an application on our site. Be sure to read the format, as it's a rather unique application.

Currently Recruiting: Tangent is a relatively new supergroup (formed at the end of August, 2010) and is looking to bring in members interested in superheroic storytelling.
RP Level: We are a Roleplaying Intensive (Medium Heavy) group intent on creating and maintaining multiple storylines. We have a private OOC channel - Tangent HQ - so the Supergroup channel can remain in-character. PvP Level: There is no PvP focus within Tangent, though we may dip our collective toe (or individual toes!) in from time to time.
Theme/Concept: Tangent has recently realized its mandate. It's original purpose - as a home and launching point for wayward interdimensional and extraterrestrial heroes who have come to Primal Earth due to persecution, exile, exploration, or even planetary destruction - has faded into the background, overshadowed by a much more daunting task. Tangent has been mobilized as a task force who works to maintain justice not only upon Primal Earth itself, but elsewhere in this universe and beyond, throughout the multiverse. It cannot be stressed enough: Tangent is a place for heroes, and it's focus is very much heroic The group is less interested in avenging angels and more willing to take on good samaritans and paragons of honor, nobility, and virtue.

We are an establish strongly themed SG with Uniforms. SG Ranks are replaced by divisions and units all agents are broken into.
We currently have two main divisions, Special Operations (Spec-Ops) and Covert Operations (Operatives):
Special Operations -
Spec-Ops agents make up the bulk of SCORPIO personnel. Charged with protecting the world from terrorist and 'extra-human' threats. Spec-Ops Agents are mostly specially-selected agents trained for handling and mitigating meta-human, arcane and extraterrestrial threats, Spec-Ops remains more secretive in it's operations and can be at times somewhat more ruthless in it's field duties. Agents within this division can be either weaponed field agents or Power Armor Agents.
Within Spec-Ops are three specialized Divisions tasked with specific areas of importance. These agents are as skilled as all spec-ops agents but at times can be a bit more rough arounds the edges and take various forms.
+ Psi-Ops Unit: Created to identify and protect telepaths, but also to defend humanity from all threats of a telepathic or other para-psychological nature. All Psi-Ops Agents are themselves endowed with psionic abilities.
+ Arcane-Ops Unit: Tasked with protecting the world from the occult, paranormal and supernatural through research, investigation and intervention. It's ranks maintain the services of noted arcane researchers and specialists, as well as several supernatural persons and entities.
+ Special Agents Unit: A strike force consisting of meta-human (super beings) Agents specializing in the nullification of meta-human menaces, though they have proved invaluable in battle against any type of foe. They are the muscle of SCORPIO.
Covert Operations -
Covert Operations within SCORPIO are a wholly separate operating division, consisting of largely autonomous solo and/or deniable Operatives, along with Special Agents and attachments from other organizations. Operatives primarily work alone or on teams consisting of other SCORPIO Operatives, though they are also utilized within Special Operations field teams as deemed necessary. Covert Operatives report directly to either the Executive Director and/or the Deputy Director, and to the Covert Operations Liason if the directors are unavailable.
Activity: We Currently 15-20 active players spread across timezones from PST-EST peak times are generally evenings and weekends.

The Knights are now looking for brave heroes of all levels, archetypes and experience. We are active in all aspects of the game and have been nominated by the players of City of Heroes across all servers as one of the Favorite Supergroups of 2006! The Knights pride themselves with having a mature and fun group with some of the most accomplished players in the game.
What we have to offer…
- Teaming at all hours: The Knights are lucky to have a extremely large player base of about 250+ players. Within those numbers are players from around the world and many different time zones. This opens up the opportunity for players to find teams at odd times. Not just any team, but highly effective and fun Knight Teams!
- Daily Task/Strike Forces and Trials: The Knights have a great staff of leadership that is constantly checking with the membership to see what special task forces need to be posted on the calendar. It is not unusual on a weekend to see a half dozen or more TFs run in a day. If you need a specific task force it is highly likely it will done. Many of the Knights have done these so many times they can be completed in record time and efficiency.
- Beyond the Game: The Knights are much more than your average super group, they are a network of people from all walks of life…they are a community. To be a Knight is to be a member of a fellowship of people who carry on a virtual friendship that often times extends beyond the confines of the internet. The Knights have banded together to purchase commissioned artwork and produce in-game movies among other things. Many friendships have been built that will only increase well beyond City of Heroes
How to Apply…
To apply to be a Knight you need to first visit www.paragonianknights.com. Take the time to check out what all the site has to offer. Many of your questions about the Knights can be answered there. After you have decided that you indeed do want to be part of the Knights, click “Join Paragonian Knights” at the top of the screen and answer the couple short questions. This will set you up with a Guild Portal account. Finally, post a application on the forums using the format provided. Be as in-depth as you desire. After that is done one of the officers will post and provide you with contact info..

Theme/Concept: The All Stars represent a collection of some of the Earths mightiest champions and is made up of three ranks of heroes.* The "Reservist", who can best be described as the guest stars of the group, though we hope many may develop into full time members.* The "All Stars", a network of proven heroes who consistently stand against the many forms of villainy.* The "Sentinels", the core members who represent the foundation of the group and act as the team's leaders.
The concept is overall simple; the Sentinels (any or all) call together support from the "All Stars" and "Reservist" ranks for specific, mission oriented teams as the situation demands (think the Justice League Unlimited cartoon). The Sentinels then lead the teams through the adventures as they develop.
A wide range of heroic archetypes from across the spectrum of comic culture are welcome to join The All Stars. While a limited number of vigilante or reformed villain types may be tolerated, the primary focus of the group will is on champions of good.
Activity: Currently the majority of the group is primarily active in the evening hours, with dedicated team up nights on both Wednesdays and Sundays.
