  1. Last Pummit this was one of the things that I whined about. >.>

I pretty much was putting "Need moar hurr" on every suggestion. There's so much they could do (and how long does it really take to design hair?). I would buy it all, like fricken catching pokemanz.
  2. Everything is good and all...

But, I'm a little confused as to why Beast Mastery has been dropped before Staff Fighting...

The trailer has a post date of 2/27. It's 3/6. Maybe something happened in between?
  4. Not at home yet....

...so, is there a new face for the males as well?
  5. So I have two problems...

...one the tie can't be used unless you have the hideous shirt on. At least for males.

Also, you can only used the designed sleeves for the shirt on males. While the females have multiple options for the sleeves because they already had a shirt section for females....

    ...cuts down on the options.

    THIS.

I was looking to see if there were male Carnival of Light peeps, and I can't find anything. Either way, this saddens me.

    How's that?

  9. I apologize if I feel that bringing up a topic and calling it "Gender Equality in Costumes - a lack thereof" means that both sides should be brought to the table equally. Imagine that. If that was not the point of this post, then I wish it would have been named different.

As for the argument not existing? I wouldn't have mentioned it if I didn't believe in it myself. I'm not throwing it out there to be a troll or to drum something up. To say that an argument does not exist because it was brought in as more of a discussion point instead of a bold statement is a rush to judgement inside of itself.

Now, I'm not trying to be snarky or disregard everyone's opinion on the constant sexy costumes, I just feel, that there is an equality issue on both sides. Does that make it equal or any better? No.

I understand the issue with the women not getting something as heroic (personally, I think the jackets are lame) as the guys. But, at the same time how many people are going to find creative ways to use the pieces in the pack? How many people would have complained if there had only be unisex chaps and stated that it's not right that women aren't allowed to explore their feminine natures through costumes?

It's a huge catch-22, that's not going to go away anytime soon, because of what is prevalent in comics. Just like the females are portrayed as scantily clad vixens, the men our portrayed as muscled tight wearing heroes. I don't think it's right either way. Where are the warrior women? Where are the everyday hero men? Where's the in-between.

We all want Paragon Studios to be more progressive. I'm on that boat of being able to move away from the norms, but honestly I'm not sure how much that's going to happen. There's a major factor and that's $$$. Yes, they can listen to the outcry and suggestions. But, at the same time timetables exist and they do need to try and make money to keep the game running. Unfortunately, the easiest way to judge what to make is based on trends and what sells in the genre. We all know what that is. It sucks. Doesn't mean it's not good business. We live the game, but they have to make money or their's no game. They make that money not only by selling these things to the VIPs but also the the Free players. It still sucks, but it's sound business.

I may have gone off on a tangent here and rambled, but it's how I feel.

Though really, I think that's more perception based on personal aesthetic preference.
Don't get me wrong. You can do ALOT when it comes to the actual hero-esque realm. But, super heroes aren't always being super.

Plus... if you want to roll a younger super hero... and you put him in a tank top... he suddenly becomes Stewie in that one steroids episode of Family Guy.

Apparently, all women dress scandalous and all males are buff pro wrestlers.
  11. This thread is titled “Gender Equality”, but ninety percent of the comments are doing the exact opposite.

It runs both ways people, I mean seriously. Outside of the random people saying the men should have access the corsets and skirts being thrown about, I’ve yet to hear anything on the reverse side. I’m of the opinion that there’s already a lack of individuality given to the costumes of male toons to begin with. The useable pieces are pretty far and between (take the hair options for an example), and there are only so many times you can use the tank top and t-shirt. If your character isn’t in a niche type of scenario, you have to work extra hard just to get out of the t-shirt and pants realm (It’s almost like outside of tights, your male hero has a choice between t-shirts and suits….awesome). Speaking of which, I was slightly offended when someone mentioned a wardrobe consisting of a few pairs of pants and some shirts….

Do I want my men to be wearing skirts and bras? No. Heck, I don’t even want to see the women wearing some of the scandalous things they do (or get with the “Gunslinger” pack.) What I want is true equality, not in the style of what they’re wearing. Because, honestly there are some things that work on one model that won’t work on another one. I would at least like a bit of equality with the amount of pieces given. If it’s gender neutral and easily ported, do it (this goes both ways) But, don’t lose sight of individuality.

There’s probably more, but I’m at work and my mind is jumbled. I’m just not a fan of arguments without counterpoints. And I’m not a fan of rants without a counter argument to create an actual discussion….

Either they are disgruntled for one reason or another or they have established groups. It also has somewhat to do with having a commonality, whether that be ages in RL to in character personality types.
Totally this. It really seems like people get their one or two people that they want to rp with and then shut down everyone else because they're not in their little circle and branching out would cause problems with keeping track of things and other nonsense.

And then some people are so character-centric that if it doesn't involve their character and your character doesn't cater to theirs, then they don't really give a damn.
  15. I have Nerve on my Invul/Fire Tank. I'm still debating if it was wise or not. As for Endurance, I can have issues, but that comes with not paying attention. If I'm actually paying attention, then there's no problem.

The one thing I like about Nerve, is that it will give me the little boost I need to meet the S/L cap without having to shell out for expensive sets. I can get by with Smashing Haymaker instead of Kinetic Combat, which for someone who alts like a **** is nice to not have to worry too much about.
  16. Everyone brings up valid points, and they adamantly defend them all.

I'm the type of person who doesn't believe things until they go live.

You ever stop to think, that the conversion rates, and what it takes to make them is just a front? Imagine if they put their actual rates into a test server or a sneak peek?

What I'm getting at is this.... Say the rates are actually smaller, and they used those on the tests.... Well, those rates would get spread around... just like the current ones are now.... and people would start stockpiling so that by the time i20 comes out... they already have enough shards/threads/dohickeys to unlock what they want.... and whoops, are the effort the devs just put onto the new trials and whatever else they have planned... is completely down the drain, because people went a different route to get things unlocked.

    ...just saying..

    A bit of Ritki

    Wow, seriously?

I've never had trouble finding a team in Talos. Then again, that was last week... maybe things have changed with all the invasions?

    A bit of Ritki

I'd suggest trying the more populated areas. The easiest places to find a team tend to be: Atlas Park, Talos Island and Steel Canyon. The first two being more popular than the others.

Well, there is the occasion that it doesn't happen (and frankly, if I saw a character that looked like yours... some of my characters would start a conversation just to know wtf is going on ). But, a lot of the time... the S(blank)Females are the ones that get the most attention.
  20. Speaking of Pocket D. If you're not a single "attractive" female, don't expect many people to approach you.

At least, that's what I have noticed.

We then get randomly rearranged if the league leader feels like it?

Is the league leader going to be able to *boot* people from individual teams (or from the league/trial overall?) Or is that specific power being held for the team leader? Or both?

I don't know about anyone else, but I read it as more of if you go in as a group, you stay as one. I think the team leader would move everyone into the queue as opposed to everyone else doing it on their own. At least, that's what would make sense.

I still think this is a "for now" type thing. I think they're giving people a preview for things. Anyone stop and think that when Issue 20 comes out, they will give everyone other ways to make the rare boosts.
