For a moment, I thought that costume slots were meant to be on sale. And I was almost excited. :/

Though I know where to go to find out what costume pieces look like from new sets on sale, I doubt everyone know or wants to have to dig through forum threads to be able to find out.

Sets might sell a little more if marketing would post images of individual pieces. Pics of mixed costume pieces (e.g. throwing in the CoT shoulder pads) can be very confusing to people who don't know it's part of a different set, and could potentially lead to a bunch of "bait and switch" complaints.

Also... costume pieces only for female models? I thought there were male members for Carnival of Light.

The content of the CoL pack has been a known quantity for quite some time now, and has been discussed to death. It isn't changing.

Also, phooey on showcasing Costume Slots without actually putting any sort of discount on them at all.

please port the pieces to male and huge models. there really is no reason they shouldnt get to enjoy them. so what that the male canirval npcs dont have the same pieces, if i wanted to mimic the enemy group exactly [i.e. only females having the pieces] then this should have been an NPC transform power.

please port the pieces to the other models. this is silly.

Too bad the game doesn't have character and npc voice overs. Man it would of been sweet in this signature story arc.

And no masks for males. How ridiculous!! Now im gonna go on a rant... call it childish.. or whatever, but im gonna vent. I have never asked for anything...EVER once! in the four years i've played. EXCEPT for carnie masks for males. And this is a slap in the face. And im gonna go a little over the edge, and say their excuses are annoying. They really should at least come up with new ones. "At this time its not something that can be done." "The game geometry doesnt allow for..." Oh whatever! Ok in this case... yes the masks are worn by females.. so thats easy to give to players. SOoo.... why not MAKE one for males. Or make a male face with the mask on it instead of making it as a detail. Can't say they cant do that. There was no problem making those horrid faces with the steampunk pack. They must be too busy playing with their animal models to care about what MANY players would like (NOT JUST ME). But i can have a useless mutt follow me around... and soon i can have a buncha mutts fight for me. Not to mention the new dark control seems to have a dark mutt pet too! Hey! maybe mind control can get that pet they've always wanted! A psionic wolf!!!! Cheers! In closing... yes im angry... yes i just made some below the belt jabs but, im not the first.. and i wont be that last. This is just something that I really wanted. =( I mean they've catered to other requests...pointless requests.. like the darn mystic fortune for crying out loud. Click it, now auto, back to click. But you can talk to a seagull to make it auto again if u want! Anywho... im done.

What happened to no more gender discrimination?

For those who didn't follow the debate when the CoL pieces were in Beta:

1. These pieces were made for the CoL NPCs with the specific intention to be able to use them on PCs, as is the policy stated about 2 years ago.

2. The only new pieces were the masks and sashes for females and the weapons (which are for male or female). The men in the CoL got re-colored Legacy Chain pieces and other bits already available in the costume creator.

3. So why so female-centric when the Devs said they'd make things more equitable? Because these pieces were in the pipeline before that decision was made (they were made for First Ward). New costume pieces take months to make, and the schedule of the artists is tight (making stuff for Issue release, e.g.). New sets coming up: Fire & Ice, Elemental Order, Imperial China will have that gender equity.

4. So why can't the male CoL be ported over to PCs? Because they physically can't. These are pieces originally made for NPCs and there is no way to 'port' them over in a way that works for clipping and scaling issues. NPC pieces have different geometries and different nodal hooks and different areas in which they mix and match. So, they would have to be re-created from scratch, which takes several months time.
