I am also curious as to how much of that 2.2 billion in 2 days was made from charging others for farms or comes from the 2nd account sitting there and its ticket sales.

As far as the time goes, Demo record or it didn't happen.
um i dont have a second account..i was Pl'ing someone else. regardless of veng or not, im just here stating that dark/fire is a very good farmer and i do very well with mine and its possible to be one of the best farmers out there with it as an alternate to all the ss/fires running around.

2 bil made was all from tix rolls/sales and inf made from farming the map.
other other 200 mil was from farming peeps. i dont always charge ppl and when im farming friends i never charge. and a lot of that farming was farming a friend from 0-50 in about 4 hrs.
i dunno how u want me to demo record, i had a friend use a stop watch from when i jumped in first mob til i hit glowie. took me 3:40 and i dont need to lie. i dont have a video recorder atm and its not even worth my time to try to prove it, i know it happened.

2.2 bil in 2 days isnt all that insane. I farm about 15 minutes a day (full arc counting load times etc.) and within that amount of time i make can make up to 600-500mil on a good day (average is about 200).
Also, i for one am getting sick of this video or it didnt happen ********. Seems like that never gets thrown around when someone says their SS/fire/mu did task X within Y time. Which I really think we do need to start doing, rather than just all of this theoretical stuff, this idea has been thrown around before but simply ignored.

Anywho, I'm going to try running arc #482818 and see what happens tomorrow. Can't wait.

The only reason I want a vid on this one is because I was on freedom not too long ago and had a toon on my 2nd account PLed by someone who had the same stats you listed here in their bio. They also had someone on thier team already with a very similar global name that would enter and die, then the the other toon would enter.

They also ran the same farm as you listed using the exact same powers that you listed and the fastest time was 4:32 with constant attacking. Other times were 5:02, 5:17, 4:58 and 5:00. Based on that I have seen a ton of evidence that points to a big story to make thier favorite set seem better than it really is.

If that was not you then I appologize.

I just ran the farm you listed with my SS/Fire/Soul in 1:48 yielding about 3 mil inf/minute. I started the clock as soon as I started attacking.

Funny how leaving out info can distort things huh? No indication of what the user defines as "attacking". To some leaving on a damage aura is not them attacking, its mobs getting too close so no need to start timing. Difficulty setting is also not noted so it could be quite low with no bosses. Also you can click the glowie once the 2 boxes are broken and there is no indication that all the ambushes were killed.

Farming posts leads to nerfs .. the devs do read these u know at least try to disguise the question
like what brute is the best for large spawns .
don't be like "hey i farm AE mish blah blah an while im powerlvlin blah blah whats good for that?"

Define what attacking is? Really? I jumped in the middle of the mob, reset herostats then proceeded to attack. It was at +4/x8 with no bosses, what else would I put it at for solo farming?

I ran it again and I got a little closer to the 2 minute mark. And yes I cleared all the ambushes, I don't click the glowie until everythings dead.

Ambush farms have been around for many months and are not breaking any rules. At least not the ones I have seen. Granted they may not following the "spirit" of AE but the devs are well aware of them and discussion here, I doubt will provide them with any more knowledge than they already have.

Average 200mill in 15 minutes? I find that impressive, more impressive than any amount of time spent clearing an ambush farm on whatever combo actually. It'd probably take me that long to just trade the tickets in, delete the crap recipes, buy salvage for the good ones and put them up on the market, let alone actually run an AE mission.

Video or it didn't... Hmm.

some days my load times seem to be competing with my time to do a farm. but anyways, i dont think ive been even near 2 mins for capping tickets. let alone clearing the first room. and i usually do +3/x8, not +4. of course it takes longer with someone on the team, since bosses spawn, but solo i think my best times are just over 3 minutes to cap ticks for the mission. luck plays a small factor, in red insp drops, but between 3:30 and 4:00 seems normal.

Gave that farm a go while recording - SS/Fire/Mu, +4/x8, coming with a tray full of red insps, cheaper build than the one ultrawatt posted.

Time from first hit to glowie click was 3:33, influence at start 119,325k, at end 128,840k, giving me 2.68M inf per minute. Video link. Should be up in half a hour from the moment I posted this, according to that website.

that looks like u ran into mobs at 08 sec and clicked glowie at 3.42, however also looks like a couple guys left. but basically the exact same time on my dark/fire, nice run.

I only care about first hit to glowie click, otherwise might as well include loading times and make this more about computers than builds. Number of enemies killed / left is completely irrelevant as long as you include the influence totals, which I did.

It's not a very good run, there are several mistakes, partly due to the low FPS while recording, partly due to not being familiar with the map, partly due to inattention / low player skill.

Posted

That is the map I normally use as well. Not looking for arc number or anything but does someone know of another map that works better? By that I mean something like, unique maps, outdoor, city number 17 or something like that.

With that one you tend to get pushed around alot and end up next to a wall most of the time. While that probably does not make a difference for the powers with a 15' radius, it can slightly slow things down with other powers if they are not hitting the target cap.

Oh, sorry that 15 min was of farming. I can end up taking about 10 min or so to spend tickets, but ive never really timed how long it takes to spend so that is a total guess.
But if you would like i could post a video. Just how would i do that? >.<

I wasn't serious about asking for a video, but while we're on that topic, gave that other farm a second attempt.

Time from first hit to glowie click : 3:17
Influence at start : 128,854k
Influence at end : 138,513k
=> 2.941M influence per minute.

As for how to record a video, I use Fraps, encode with VirtualDub and upload to vimeo.com (just tried for the first time today, it seems to work fast and nice so far).

Back on topic, I assume you're talking about ~5000 tickets ultrawatt? Do you convert to level 30-34 bronze rolls, craft and sell? I guess I just never took a look at AE for making money, I always just trade the ~1600 tickets per mission for 3 piece of rare salvage, list these for 3m whenever I stop or my salvage tray is full and call it a day. That's obviously pretty low return compared to what you get (200m average for you, compared to ~8m from kills + ~9m from salvage on a ~5 minute mission including loading times, ending up being only ~50m in the same amount of time for me).

Posted

Id say a good estimate would be about 6.3-7.3k tickets. Then i do 15-19 bonze. I dont craft, thats just far too boring and takes too much time. I dont remember the number for the arc i run, but i do it on either +4/x8 or +3/x8 with bosses.

Ill figure out the ID if you want later today, as well as some more accurate stats.

I don't care too much about the arc ID, but I'd be certainly interested in seeing your stats. Going to run my own tests anyway, because I prefer to see how stuff applies to me personally; still, it's always good to see how other people do.

No problem, that was just me being tired. Anyways, I'll try it again with bosses on. I've tried recording before with fraps, but it completely kills my framerate.

Edit: Just ran it with bosses on in 3:05 for around 2.8 mil inf/minute. I didn't check the before and after inf numbers, just used herostats and since it's in such a short time frame the number fluctuates a lot. This was with being at the damage cap for most of it.
